Quote I'd bet know that racers I know missed Freddy Spencer and Kevin Schwantz at Road America.

That's very true.  Last year I stopped Schwantz at Mid Ohio for a minute but he seemed to go largely unnoticed by most of the other fans.  I found Freddie too but I think more people knew who he was (or maybe it was just the halo effect of being close to Nicky in the Honda camp, LOL).

Honda spent a lot of money advertising Freddis Spencer during the early Superbike haydays of the late '70's early '80's.  He was almost a house hold name.  You would think that he won the Championships, but it was Eddie Lawson that was the champion.

Honda, and I think Peter Starr, realized that they could sell Freddie Spencer as a personality and make the CB900F look like a winner.

I removed one sentence in your post who's only purpose was to incite a reaction.  It was not necessary to make a point.

No, this is not church, and I really don't care what you can and cannot say on TV.  I do however care for everyone on this board and expect that all, no matter who you are, are treated with repect.

By who's standard determines a comment as being deemed as only to incite a reaction?  By who's determination do we measure respect.  What you may feel as being one thing, others may not.  I would hope that we are all adult here and can behave accordingly but I can not agree with post being edited to one persons "standards". Sorry.   ??? :-X

Sorry, guys...

I'm on Dawn's side here.

If she feels it was necessary to do something, it might have been the right thing to do.

May not have too, but I'm not to worried about it.
