The topic of "enlarging" the fan base brings a thought to mind for all you local DC area enthusiasts...

Have you been hearing the radio advertisements for the "Hyper Fest" @ Summit? This is a sport compact car event, not that I have anything against hi-rev machines...but c'mon, has anyone heard anything, anywhere about a CCS or WERA or FUSA event at Summit? Hell no, I sure haven't. But Clear Channel still won't do any on-air stuff for mc roadracing there. Maybe it's all the hype with the Fast & Furious syndrome, maybe's it's the fact that there are more car enthusiasts...I dunno.  ???

My thought, air more radio commercials/advertisements about mc roadracing anywhere, and it's likely to help grow the fan base.

But in the same sense, it's hard for someone to even imagine what it's like to attend a roadracing event @ SPR or VIR or Daytona. Get someone there once, and most of em are hooked...

There was always talk about having a night race at Gateway International Raceway.  I still think it would be a cool idea.

BTDT.  Did an Endurance into the dark the first year at the new track.  Too expensive to repeat tho.
