All about the dollars and the turnout. Last few events ran at MAM and Hastings didn't have the attendance in my opinion to warrant keeping them. The St. Louis crowd keeps Gateway and Topeka going. I miss the rounds at MAM and Hastings and would love to see the return. But the riders speak with their wallets, and they go to Blackhawk but don't travel well beyond that. If CCS could make money running some of these other tracks, they would certainly do it.

Hey everyone on this thread, we just noticed that the Topeka dates were changed on the schedule to a week later, April 27-28. And Putnam was taken off the list.  I guess we got too early of a jump start on the hotel reservations for Topeka!  Does anyone know for sure whether Gateway is gonna be part of the Midwest schedule?  Just hoping we have other tracks besides BFR and HPT, since we only get ONE RA this year.  At least RA's in July, not like last year when it was 38 and raining in May. May in Wisconsin is always dicey.....  :banghead:

I'm just glad there is a CCS that gives us the opportunity to race. I know Blackhawk gets old but we're racing. The last 2 years I've gone to New Hampshire to race with ASRA. You think you have it bad here? You think Gateway is unsafe? NHMS is old and has several sketchy areas. The Loudon series season is 5 or 6 rounds at that track and that track only. Yet the grids are full.
I encourage you to try some different tracks if you are sick of Blackhawk. Do a WERA round at Gratten. You can race at BIR and Hastings, just not with CCS. Try a CCS round at VIR or New Jersey or wherever. I know trying one these tracks means more travel and ultimately more money which makes it hard for you to do. Just like it's hard for CCS to get different tracks for the midwest, it costs money. I understand if your're chasing points and need to race the midwest rounds but there are many more weekends available to race at other tracks. I rather enjoy racing those weekends where your not "chasing" points.... rant over

I will more than likely come out and run a round with CCS. RA and one Blackhawk. But I'm really leaning towards running the whole WERA north Central series. See you guys at the race track. Have a good holiday season. Mayb I will see some of you on the ice as well if we get any this year.

I couldn't agree with this more...

I'm going to concentrate on AMA enduro next year.  Sick & tired of BHF - boring and dangerous in places.  I see myself doing HTP, RA and probably 2-3 BHF rounds.  May pick up a WERA or two if they do Mid O, Grattan or Gingerman.  Ideally, I'd like to see a max of 2 BHF, an Autobahn South and a Gingerman race.

I think the severe elevation changes on the Track may have been too challenging for some riders.
Haha...the ripples are bad enough there to count as elevation changes.  And the seams have become almost impossible to cross safely at speed in many places.
