So is there an actual confirmed schedule yet for the midwest?  I was thinking about joining up and doing some racing with CCS, but if im limited to one track like i am with the CRA, it doesn't appear to be worth the hassle.

Hey Borgy...it's mostly Blackhawk, but we get a twin sprint round at Topeka (Heartland Park) and Road America for sure...I think the only remaining questionable one is the Gateway date

There will be a licensing school on Friday.  As soon as the track has the signup set up on their site I'll post up a link.

Is the best way to sign up through HPTs website here:

and I'm assuming since I don't have a race license that I can't pre-enter any races for the discounted price/grid position?

Gateway probably isn't going to happen.  MCRA has a race weekend there that week and apparently some years ago there was a falling out between MCRA and CCS and there still are some that haven't let go.

Interested to hear about this falling out between MCRA and CCS.

Don't know all the details other than they used to run combined weekends of trackday saturday with CCS racing Sunday.  They started their own race series and have been branching away from CCS ever since.  Last year they used the CCS rulebook and now have drafted their own.  Last year they ran a fairly successful season of 8 twin sprint style weekends held at Heartland Park, Gateway, and Putnam Park. The race classes were similar to GTO/GTU, Lightweight classes, and sportsman class.

I've been in contact with several of their board members and they have said without doubt that the weekend at Gateway on the midwest CCS schedule is not happening.  They already have the track rented that weekend and are not interested in doing a combined weekend.

MWSS, MWSB, MWGP, GTU, F40 (if you are over 40) and you can race up also in heavyweights and unlimited classes.
