With all the tracks in the Midwest area we get 3. Booooooooo! Could have autobahn (north and south) gingerman, Putnam, Grattan. It could be an awesome series in the region. Instead we have the CCS Blackhawk cup.

Too bad, sounds like nothing has changed at Gateway.  I was hoping it was better since it is so close.

Does anyone know why MidAmerica in Iowa has been off the schedule for the past several years?  It was a combo Great Plains/MidWest event for years.  It's still listed as a CCS track on the website but CCS hasn't raced there since 2009 or 2010.

In 2011 it was closed because of flooding, but they ran trackdays in 2012.  May have been uncertain when they were making the schedule for 2012 whether they would reopen or not.

I think the severe elevation changes on the Track may have been too challenging for some riders.

I have to be honest with you guys I'm very disappointed with the lack of different tracks on the Midwest schedule. It's very sad in my opinion considering how many different tracks we have within a short driving distance from the Chicagoland area. I understand that the economy is in the shitter and people are not spending money on the sport we love so much. I have a lot of friends in the CCS paddock at any given weekend in the midwest. However I am strongly leaning towards running WERA north central. More tracks, more diversity, more interesting series. Again I'm very disappointed. If I'm going to spend my hard earned money on going racing I want to run an interesting series. 4 or 5 blackhawk rounds is not interesting to me. 2 maybe but not repeatitive blackhawk after blackhawk. What a shame. I'm still on the fence with this. I'm going to move forward with building the bikes and decide after the first of the year. Maybe I will have an epiphany while riding the ice bike over the winter or something.

Nick, I totally agree!  Which is why I jumped ship last year.  Couldn't be happier.  Lots of benefits to it and some down sides.  In CCS's defense, they are trying, just still falling short.  Blackhawk does get old after some time.

Has anybody asked what the proposed  race schedule is for the Gateway dates, Putnam Dates? Has anyone asked if there will be a full schedule of sprints?

Might be a long way to  drive for 2 GT and 2 GTL races.

What about BIR?  They have two track layouts and they just repaved the whole thing...  Blackhawk, BIR and Road America would be a great combination.

Putnam appears to be a no go because it is gone off the preliminary schedule on ccsracing.us and if it was a go it was going to be great plains region.

Gateway is great plains region mostly. Possibly one round in midwest. I did not get a straight answer on that. Supposedly great plains rounds run limited classes.

Bummer. I was hoping it would stay, even as a GP region event because that could have opened the door to a few more events there.

I forgot about the flooding in western Iowa that afffected MAM but why are we not going there or Motorsport Park-Hastings anymore?  Both are listed as CCS tracks but haven't been raced on in years.  Hastings is a fun track and yes it's in the middle of nowhere so make that event a double points race to encourage participation.
Iowa Speedway is listed also and CCS has never raced there.  We had an event scheduled years ago but it got cancelled due to the Des Moines area Chevrolet dealers flexing their muscles and booting us out for their event.  I know Moto-ST had a crash marred event there, I was there, so why is it still listed as a CCS track?
