QuoteCOMPLETELY off topic... but your name really rings a bell.  Were we pitted together at ROC in 2003?  You had those cool siphons, and borrowed my dad's BlackBird to take your lady friend for a ride?

If so... how the heck are ya?  Drop me an email - jim@kingpinracing.com

Yes, Jim...it's me.  And I got a big thanks from Spears for the order your dad put in for them.  Thank your dad again for letting me take the bird for a spin.

as far as the lady friend goes... what a story.  She gets back here to San Jose and camps out in my travel trailer.  While I was at the season closer in December-  she sets fire to it by accident and splits town.  She really did enjoy the ride on the bird though.  ;)

QuoteI have no intention of attempting to change their mind.  More or less, give them a taste of their own medicine.  Let's see how much they like it when someone "gloats" when on of their own gets hurt.  The point isn't the thread itself, it's the fact that they "gloat" when someone gets hurt.  It doesn't matter if it's in a car, on a bike, or on a skateboard.

Dan, for your own saftey, I really wouldn't recommend "teasing the bull".  There is a great deal of information about you (name, address, job, vehicles, family, etc...) that you have divulged on this board not to mention things you have done. Screwing with these guys is not like telling lies to the rest of us.  I truly believe (all personal feelings aside) that this would not be the best move you could make.  Pissing off a hippie is one thing, pissing off a group of people who have full legal access to entirely too much information about you is much worse.  Think** Remember how much grief the kid who tried to walk off without paying for things at the track day in MI received?

If you read the post, the guy who wrote the post sounds like a hack security guard at Wal Mart. He doesn't even know the correct motor that was in his Caprice CLassic, let alone that Octane Boost does nothing to increase HP.

Yeah... that's why I didn't bother posting it.  After calming down and writing out a thread long enough to be a few pages long, I finally calmed down and figured I was wasting my time. Thanks for looking out though.  I have a tendancy to run my mouth faster than my brain runs ;)

Well, sucks to be the "cops."  Roadracing World has a small bit about this thread and the comments made on their site...  :D

everyone must remember that it is NOT the legitimate roadracers that are giving OUR sport a bad reputation, it is the street squids that do their standup wheelies down major interstates and whatever BS stunts they pull on the street.. for what ? to endanger my families lives? or GSXR Mike's?

The street squids play Russian roulette when they attempt to flee and elude but with one dangerous catch, they are not only endangering their safety but every other motorists that is sharing the road.

It is NOT the fault that the LEO's are doing his/her job in preventing an innocent family in a mini van from becoming the victim of a reckless street stunter... that is OUR job and you the taxpayer pay us good money to keep your family safe and risk our lives to save thier lives if need be.

Sure the LEO posting that thread may have been politically incorrect by not sugar coating the fact that the convicted felon got exactly what they deserved... so what?  Would anyone on this forum felt differently if the squid had just finished raping a 12 year old in a bathroom stall?... I thought not.

And therin lies the problem, if indeed it was a rapist fleeing from the police after raping a child and the police did not attempt a pursuit you all would be second guessing the LEOs judgement for not pursuing and once again blame the police for the behavior of a convicted felon.... especailly if the victim was a  CCS racer's child.

I have been cleaning up the bodies for 14 years now and have little sympathy for those who make the  conscious decision to flee from the police and end up wrapped around a pole. I do have sympathy for the innocent family's lives that are destroyed as a result of thier infantile behavior.

Bottom line : SAVE IT FOR THE TRACK !

Whats w/ all the stunter crap.  Do you know how few of riders/squids are actual stunters?  Not many.
I wish you guys would quit labling any moron squid that can pull a wheelie a stunter.

It's the backroaders and streetsquids that have given bikes a bad name.  And if you think back a decade or so, it was the backroaders, canyon carvers, etc that were trashing the motorcycle image, raising insurance rates, and introducing legislation to ban sportbikes.

Ya'll are trying to pas the buck onto stunters when the twisty guys are at least as guilty, if not more.

Ya'll have forgotten where ya used to ride, and how ya used to break multiple laws and endanger the public by highspeed on the backroads.  I was guilt of it too.  WE all have done it.  Quit being hypocrites.

Convicted felon?  Convicted of what?
What if it was some dumb kid who ran?  Would he have deserved getting dismembered too.
Got what he deserved?  That's way harsh.
If dusting off a cop or two in the twisties equates to deserving to lose limbs, then most on this board would be amputees.

The cop that posted that needs to be evaluated and terminated.

Terminated?  for what ? expressing a personal opinion? any as*hole, convicted felon or not,  that runs from the police for what ever reason and crashes heavy has no one to blame but ther own sorry ass but it has become a politically convient excuse to blame the police for whatever crime little Johnny commits and subsequently gets caught.

A 13 year old  honor student travelling at 100mph will do as much damage to my wife in her car as a 30 something convicted felon at the same speed.

Harsh ?... you're right, the little scumbag should have gotten 3 months probation... yeah, that'll teach him a lesson..

and if happened to be your sister, brother, girlfriend that died or became a vegetable as a result of this moron gangsta thug wannabee's behavior, I 'm sure the word "harsh" would be the gentlest of descriptions

WOW! These specific topics on that Police forum have spread like wildfire thruout motorcycling forums of many types! :o I linked it here after seeing it on SBN myself.

I find irony in the denial of constitutional rights on a website for the very people who are supposed to protect those very rights for us. What am I talking about? The fact that if you say negative statements about Police or say things they don't like they threaten they will delete your post and remove you permanently from their site (a public forum no less). I'm not talking about vulgerity or things such as that as reasoning for expulsion, but simply expressing a view other than what they want to see. In fact the vulgerities and threats coming from these Police officers is just crazy. What ever happened to 'Freedom of Speech'? Of all things for the cops to be doing this, it's sad! The moderator has even threatened in 1 of the threads concerning motorcyclists that if we don't all basically shut-up he is going to remove all the "stunt bikers" on the forum no matter if you have said anything or not! Ok Hitler, or is it Big Brother, wanting to make sure all the cattle stay herded up as they want? Read the approved things, act the approved way, speak the correct things....soon we can be the next U.S.S.R.

I don't approve of what the runner did, especially if the theft, drugs, and gun possesion are true. But what gets me is how the officer more or less removed this as ever having been a chase from a legal standpoint and didn't even charge him with the supposed other charges, now isn't that flat out reckless of him? How about the other guy they talk about too, the marine that died while speeding, he didn't have the other stuff against him like the 1st guy? But yet as expressed here, many would look at him as being just as deserving of the outcome as the criminal.

The reason I started this thread was because I personally was saddened to see the gleefull reactions by these officers at the extensive injuries of a fellow human being. But wait, I forgot that depending on what class of a person you are determines if you should die or not, sure sounds alot like the mentality the Nazi's had. So if you speed on the street it's 'poetic justice' and deserving that you should be maimed or die? Taking this even further then if your in the military it's 'poetic justice' and expected that you should die because you asked for it? So a Police officer in the anti-gang unit should meet a 'poetic justice' ending by being beat into disfigurement by the very gang members he has sent to jail in the past, after all it's his own fault for being involved in the 1st place? And then us, high risk motorcycle roadracers, what a bunch of idiots that deserve to be dismembered or killed for being involved in such a potentially life ending sport, now that's 'poetic justice'!  :-/

What a bunch of hooey.  Most of the posters on that site are probably toll booth attendants.  The real police don't care about stunters.  Wannabees.
