GSXR RACER MIKE

This is a link to a LE (law enforcement) forum topic that they are talking about a stunter that crashed and got severely hurt, yet the way these police officers are talking about it is ABSURD!

Becareful if you logon and respond about this though, they will kick you off for just about anything they don't agree with!  >:(  What a bunch of loser cops on that topic!

Forward a copy of that link to the AMA and see how they feel about it  ;)

Link sent to the AMA  >:(

They have already locked the topic and another that popped up about it. I actually registered and was going to make a respectable response, but they are not allowing it. If the AMA publishes this on their site that message board will get hammered by  motorcyclists everywhere.

It's sad that feelings like these surface in a public forum by those that are supposed to 'Protect and Serve', I also found it very disturbing how they slammed on any "civilian" (simple minded as we must apparently be) that dared to respond with a different opinion. My respect for the Police just fell a few steps down the ladder. :-/

I registered also.  I'm going to type it in notepad first and then post it.  Hopefully the AMA will step in just for comment or something.  I gave up riding on the street because of both stupid people and cops.  I was tired of both of them.  I have a feeling that the entire BBS over there is full of "power trip" cops whom just "go the extra mile" and make themselves seem "better" than everyone else.

Here's my vent over an incident with cops on my bike (the  one that got me off the street forever.)  I'd about had enough, and I didn't do anything wrong.  I wasn't speeding or anything.  This was over 2 years ago..

I'm going to reference this in my post on the subject.  Long story short, it's about one of their own getting hurt badly.

http://forums.officer.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=27182

I think this will be the one time I'll be glad to be banned from a BBS, because they aren't going to like what I have to say, but I'm going to be starting a thread in a respectable fashion myself  :)  If you read the link in this post, you'll see where I"m coming from.  I'm gonna give them a taste of their own medicine, and as everyone knows, I'm the best there is at setting people off on a forum  ;)

I hope someone saves it as an html to give to the ama, when the popo's over there delete the thread.

The guy he is laughing about wasnt a stunter anyway.

Not worth getting pissed about.  Cops are always right, and you'll never convince them otherwise.  Try to prove a point, and they keep screwing you harder until you comply.  It isn't going to change, so why worry about it?

I'll jump in...

First, how can you guys generalize on police officers?

Seems like we've got some "officers" generalizing about some motorcyclists...which is certainly a far stretch...

You guys believe everything you read on the internet?

Some of you logged into that forum.  Doesn't seem to take any LE credentials to log into that forum.  The stuff you're readin' doesn't even have to be true at all.  Some people just make stuff up.  Admittedly, police officers will work in some seedy areas with some people that are less than honorable.  They might actually own bikes.  Might be law breakers too.  Might use the bike in their "work".  Chasing them is part of it.

Poetic Justice?  Well, I'm sure we could get a real police officer to tell us about known "pieces of cr@p" that had things happen to them.  Yeah, they've been in the system, but they keep getting rolled out.  Over and over, they hit the system, but they get "protected".  Sometimes those people finally make mistakes and pay with something above and beyond what a legal system can give out.

I'm sorry, but if you take a bike and run from the police and some one comes out in front of you and you get hurt...well, yeah, that is poetic justice.  Doesn't that go back to the "you play you pay" rules too?

There are whole subsystems in every organization and group.

I think the offensive thing was that the officers on the forum seemed so gleeful to see a rider ripped to pieces, and that the officers seemed to have a predjudiced view of all cyclests.  They seemed no less gleeful when talking about the cyclest-soldier who was killed than they did when the bike thief got chewed up while running from the law.
I have friends who are cops, and also racers.  These are good guys.  I guess every group will have some idiots in it.  It just sucks much worse when that idiot has a gun and a badge, and the ability to screw with you until he gets bored.
Oh, I've NEVER run from the police.  If they hit the lights, I stop.  I once saw a cop break into a u-turn after clocking me at around 90 on the highway.  I pulled over and waited.  When he finally found a hole in traffic and got to me, he let me go with my apology and a warning.  Like I said, they're not all bad.
