I'm starting to plan a private track day pre-race season.  Want in?  It'll be around $100 per person.  I have about 10 people already going.    Infact all you guys can come.  Just let me know.  I'm going to finalize hopefully by the beginning of March.   :D

Probably Gingerman, Grattan, or I'd love to do Autobahn since I"ve never been there before.  I was going to do it last year but I couldn't get it done.  I'll end up putting up all the money upfront and whomever shows up at the track can pay then.  As soon as I finalize it I'll post it for everyone.  I just don't want only a handfull of people showing up and then I get stuck paying the balance.  That's what happened last year when I tried to plan it.  Before I even had it figured out, people started canceling.  I'd like to do it right before the first race of the year for our region.  My leathers are quite dusty.   :-[

I am keeping it real.  We were going to rent Grattan during the week one day. I had 17 people at one point, and then within 2 weeks 9 dropped out.  This was because we couldn't really choose dates and the car guys were eating up alot of the available track time.  I would've done it.  It's $2K to secure it.

We'll do it this year. :D

and my bad, it was last season meaning 03' season.  I was spending alot of time at the track.  :)

Edgar and I tried to get a bet going at Gingerman last October.  He was convinced that Dan wasn't a real person.... just some kind of mutant computer virus that manages to attach itself to Racing BBS's and slowly sucks the life out of them.  Me, not being one to disagree with a computer pro like Edgar, had to take his advice to bet on the virus.  Like I said, we tried to get the bet rolling, but no amount of money (or Beer) could get anyone to put something down for the other side of the bet.

I guess everyone realized the cruel truth of the matter when another weekend of racing, and another season of racing came to a close and Dan once again failed to materialize as a human being, even in his home state:

Dan, indeed is some form of insidious, mutant computer virus that constantly remanifests itself into one form or another.  Beware, there is no anti-virus software known to man capable of staying a step ahead of this neuron hungry fungus!

Well, that may be so.  Remember, you contacted me about this same type of track day event (there are even threads about it here or over at WERA's BBS).  Then "poof".  Never another word.

More power to ya if you can make it happen.  I hope you recognize it'll be a weekday.  After all, look how Trackoholics can't even get w/e dates at those tracks.
