Roger, how can Steven and I go kick Elaine's and Zac's butt in Ultralightweight Superbike if there is no class?  I had already started to get my dinner order ready!! ;D   Dang it!   :(

Elaine, what do you normally run in ASMA?  What class fits the Muz, CR, and SV650?

I'm a little disappointed that there isn't a GTU class at Arroyo.

Aside from the basic desire to run that class on that track, I have obligations to sponsors for it.  I guess those races won't count toward my quest for a an overall win.  :-/

Thanks for the info regarding the class breakdowns @ Arroyo. I'm looking forward to the trip as it sounds like a fun place to race. The schedule indicates these are 2 day events, but you only showed a schedule for Sunday, is Saturday an open practice/trackday?

Again, thanks for the info.

Ed

.....count me as an "also ran!"  :o

In '04 we had different classes, so I ran LW Twins & Singles, SW Thunder, and Formula 2.  SW Thunder is still around (though I may not run it next season), and LW Superbike is the new one that I'll probably run on the MZ.

At Arroyo, we could duke it out in Team Sprints.  That is the funnest race, and I recommend anyone that can, grab a partner and race it.  It's a Lemans start, which is hilarious.  First rider rides 10 mins, then comes into the hot pits and switches, and 2nd rider does the last 10 mins.  Everyone comes into the hot pits on the same lap.

Zac and I can run it on the MZ.  You and Steve can run one of your SVs.

We have Friday half day trackday(afternoon, $50.00) and Saturday trackdays (all day, $90) at each one of our events. We tried the GT races last year but didn't have enough entries to make them work. We are thinking of doing a true endurance race this year though, like a 4 hour or something like that.

Roger@ASMA

Watch out for Zac when he's on the MZ....Win or break, win or break.......lol

RAY_HYMER

Zac may win or break, but they have made a tragic mistake making a dinner bet with 2 fat guys!! ;D

OK, let's make it the teams sprints thingy.  I'm not sure which SV650 we will use, but it will be a supersport legal one.

You two will need to add ballast, though.   ;)
Steven and I are both over 270# as of today.  I wonder how much the two of you weigh together?!! ::)

We really need to make sure that Cory knows about this.  He would really get a kick out of it.

Hey, Roger, what chance of having a two up race?  It would be awesome to see guys with passengers!  It would be kinda like sidecar racing without the sidecar! 8)

Oh, and count us in with the endurance race.  We were going to do the 6 hour with WERA at Willow Springs, but our CCS race at Firebird Main conflicts with it.  :(

On another note, I have noticed that GTU usually has a larger grid than GTO, so you may want to check into that.  Why can't you run the CCS GT races on Saturday at the end of the day?  I do like the half day Friday practice, especially since I haven't ever raced there.

I'd be good with that.  Maybe it can be worked in.  Of course, I'm sure all of the GT races would have to be run, or combined if grids are too small.

Hey Cory ...

BETH .. is that Beth Kraus?? or do I have her mixed up with somebody else?

The problem with doing Saturday races is that it burns out our crew, costs way more in insurance and would hurt the people who can't make it on Friday to learn the track by taking away their Saturday practice.

We tried the Saturday deal this year and ended it at midseason. I'm sure there is a reason the SW region quit racing on Saturday also.

Chances of a 2 up race? Probably none because I doubt anyone's insurance carrier would cover it......although I've taken a few passengers for sub 1:20 lap times... :P

Hi Jeanne!  No its Bethany Knapp, she was not at the Vegas race this year but I am not sure you have met her.  You would know if you did, especially if she had a few beers in her and was with my sister and mom (ask Kevin- and no for the rest of you).  Hope you and Alan have a good holiday!- Cory
