Carl, you got a spare 600 I can race?? J/k sort of......

Actually I very well might have one lol. I still need to finalize my plans yet, but its a possibility.

And yea $250 pre-entry fee is not bad at all. With the purse I think there are going to be alot of bikes trying to qualify. I wouldnt be surprised if 100 bikes showed up.

I would also like to know this^^

Anyone know if we are allowed to use bigger gas tanks? Or is that against the rules? Did not see anything about it in the Daytona 200 rulebook.

No restriction according to the rulebook.

I'm also wondering about the fuel spec. I would like to have the bike complete by Feb. to test at Homestead during the CCS race.

TV is still work in progress, Not my department so I don't much beyond that.

No gas tank restrictions, safe construction and caps/connection systems that are sealed(safe controlled venting)

Working on fuel specifications, should have details first week of January.

Starting to think about getting my stuff down there.  Probably going to do the Homestead race in Feb, then CMP in March before the D200.  Does anyone from the Chicago area want to join force in getting our stuff down there.  I'm thinking of bringing the KTM 250xc enduro also - ride with Melka..

yeah I meant Roebling Road.  CMP is later.  I'll probably fly down for Roebling, stay down there, race the D200 and drive back.

Does anyone have an idea how many tire changes would be needed during the race?  I think I remember teans changing the rear at least once from watching past 200s on TV.  Will a front last the whole race?

TOTALLY depends on your pace.. and what brand/compound you use, as well as your setup.  I know guys that did the entire team challenge (few less laps than the 200) on 1 rear (NOT close to 1:52 lap times obviously). Others, not the case. Needed a couple changes.

Did the 1st. Moto ST 8 hour there in 2006, spec Pirelli hard compound slicks, went through 3 rears and 2 fronts, we logged 785 miles or so. Bike was a 1999 Honda VTR1000, notorious for eating tires, but lap times never broke 2 minutes.
