So, is the Daytona 200 part of the ASRA sportbike series?  Not doing the 200 pretty much screws you out of the ASRA Sportbike championship.   Pretty much sucks for those on a budget.  Gonna take minimum 10 grand for a front runner to add that race to you race season.

Note that fuel and tire situation could change with 30 day notice as per the proposed rules.

I think almost anyone with an expert license can qualify within 2:05.

Considering SV650's can do that, I'd hope so. :)

Yeah Mark Gardner is a little sour.  I don't understand his motivation in poo pooing ASRA sanctionning the D200.  Given that MotoAmerica and the track couldn't come to an understanding, I see it as the next best thing.  The purse will certainly attract some Pro teams.

Personally, it gives me a chance to qualify for this race without the cost/aggrevation of getting a MotoAmerica Pro license.

I'm pumped CCS stepped up to run this. They actually have rules and are taking imput from potential riders. What a novel idea! MotoAmerica for all the hype still hasn't realeased rules or licensing requirements. Add to that a big payout.... I hope we'll see some great racing. My only complaint....I wish they were running 1000's so I could compete! Lol

Hmmmm so your basic ASRA sportbike, but you can run slicks. I think it's awesome that CCS / ASRA is going to run the 200.

Any word on the TV package yet?
