I started putting out feelers on the WERA board because they have more members from this seller's area.  Here you can read all about it....

I guess I can chalk this up to a learning opportunity as to how the resolution program works.

One reason I would do a Prt Scr (save a screen picture) of the ebay ad if you buy something. Tell him go ahead and file charges. You can file some of your own, namely fraud.

Wouldnt it be ashamed if he got blackballed from every track and org? ;D

Dawn, how did you pay? Paypal has a resolution center as well. If you paid w/ a credit card there's always the issuer resolution center.

Sorry you had such a bad experience. Make sure you leave negative feedback for this a$$wipe.

Do or do not, there is no "try".

Sorry to hear about that Dawn.  Hence my post about anyone knowing Joseph Hoffman... ;)

Hope it gets fixed right for you.

Heh... Heh.... Heh....

I got pictures and e-mails.  The dude has no chance.   ;D

We've done LOTS of transactions over the internet (although not as many as Kaufalk) and this is the first one with a problem.  I'm not to worried.

PayPal is a huge help here.

If you don't pay via paypal, surf around and look up mail fraud.  I forget the amount, but it's not very large when it becomes a felony.

The term "felony mail fraud" tends to get people moving...

I tend to give people the benefit of the doubt "hey, you might not have seen this damage, or you aren't real familiar with these parts, but they are pretty bad.  You can either give me all my money back or give me a partial refund because I only would have paid xxxx".

Here's what I enjoy doing:

I posted that link in a negative feedback on ebay.  The guy called me within like 10 hours and said he was on vacation, yada yada yada...  Gave me the partial refund I wanetd, let me keep the part AND paid for me to remove the negative feedback...

Dont trust Paypal to help you out if you get screwed

I bought an exhaust and got shipped a box with a bag of plaster in it    F*CK Paypal, they said that because i bought something and signed for a package they considered the transaction was over  >:(

the same exhaust was sold to 6 different people,  but at least i didnt get shipped a bag of bird seed like some other poor bastard   ;D

and Jeff, it was the guy i said and he is a compulsive lying sack of shit that got busted and used you and your forum to help clear his rep  ;)

QuoteDont trust Paypal to help you out if you get screwed

They have changed policies a lot, and regardless of PayPal, when I reverse the charges on my credit card, there's fine little that PayPal can do on it.

I'm still not confident that it was the same person.  The dude on my forum readily gave me all of his contact information, and sent me 2 sets of perfect tire warmers, completely unpaid for exactly as advertised...

And I still won't vouch for the guy other than that he did follow through on the one transaction, exactly as promised...  :-/

Well, I promised you some pictures so here you go...

This is the picture off the E-bay ad:

Can you say, "Oooooo...... Pretty!"   ;D  Obviously SRAD forks.

This is what I got:

Himm.... Not the same forks.

It was funny, through his screaming on the phone to me he goes, "Didn't you look at the picture?"

I said, "Yes I did, the picture shows SRAD forks and these are late model."

He said, "SRAD are junk.... blah, blah, blah, blah....  They are the same forks as in the picture."

"No they are not, the fender mount is different, the caliper mounts are different, the end caps are blue instead of silver, and even the pinch bolts are missing."

By then he was so off his rocker I hung up on the bastard.

OK everyone,

Help me out here on how to post pictures so that they're not gigantous.

Thanks

You need to resize it inside a graphics program, IE: photoshop, PaintShop Pro, Paint, etc.

Paint comes with all versions of windows, so you should have it on you pc. Click on  Start/Programs/Accessories/Paint and then select "File/Open" and open the picture. Then select the "Image/Stretch" menu and where in the boxes where it says "stretch", enter the percentage you wish to make it smaller. IE, if you want it to be half the size, enter "50" in both the Horizontal and the Vertical entry box...
