QuoteSWEET!!  Anthony has recovered his bike!!

Seriously?

digitalRoost

don't rush to conclusions people. Ray "thinks" he saw his bike. It may not be it or it may be gone now. Let's keep our fingers crossed.

Good job though Ray!

Quoteit's a vehicle with a title, that it requires it's own policy...
heh, time to get a real race bike, the kind that never had a title (like a GP bike)

With the help of Ray, I recovered both my bike and truck this morning.
Ray, I am so grateful that you kept your eyes open and helped me out.  Beers on me this sunday at the track (after of course)
The trucks ignition is messed up, but more importantly, the bike hasnt been touched.

Thank you so much Ray !!

goshow.. now that you have been a victim, here's something to keep in mind:

A cheap $99.00 aftermarket keyless entry or alarm system with a starter kill would have prevented your truck from being taken in the first place.

I'm not trying to be an ass or anything like that.  You may want to consider this seriously now.  Alot of people don't get such electronics until after the fact.  I'm also not trying to sell you anything, but I can help make recommendations for the future.  Some things everyone should keep in mind:

The factory systems do NOT prevent theft.  Even the "chip in the key" transponder systems can be bypassed very quickly.

Also, if you guys are interested, I can tell you how to make your own starter kill system with nothing more than $10.00 in parts from radioshack.  All you need is a 12V 30 A SPDT Relay, and a toggle switch.  You hook up the relay (5 wires) and hide the toggle where you want it.  Unless you turn the switch to the ON position, the car can't crank, even if they pop the column.  It's very easy to put this in.  Anyone that can change a fuse can do it.  Let me know.

Here's some recommendations for alarms/keyless entry:

Wow, proves how small of a world it is.  It's amazing that a bike could be stolen, a message posted that was read by only a handful of people in the greater Phoniex area, and the bike could be found and recoverd.

A great ending to a tragic story  :).  Good job Ray!

Mad props to you Ray!!!! That rocks. I'm TOTALLY surprised to hear of this good ending. You RARELY hear of that happening. Chalk 1 more up to the internet!

Zac, to be honest, I saw this in RRW too...and that's read nationwide.

That's AWESOME!

You have got  to give us more dirt on the scumbag though!  What happened...is it going to be on a future episode of COPS?! ;D

:DHaving experienced losing bikes to thieves, I was glad to help recover the bike for Anthony.  Just goes to show that getting the word out sometimes gets things done!  I wouldn't have thought twice about that bike if I hadn't seen the post here on the CCS forum.  ;D
