That is just awesome!  Good job, Ray!

I'm so happy for the owner of the truck and bike.  That would have bothered you forever.  Now it can bother the thief forever.

A member of this forum (Rat Hymer) let me know that he had seen a racebike on the back of a silver pickup at an appartment complex not too far from where I live.  With the help of the Phoenix P.D I reclaimed both the truck and the bike which was untouched ( the trucks ignition is messed up but the insurance will cover that)

Unforetunately I didnt get to catch the thief, I would have loved to be able to take a ball-peen hammer to his nuts but I guess that would have been to good to be true  ;D

I do have a sneaking suspicion that the thief goes to school with me at M.M.I

man that is awesome that you got your bike recovered
should have got the cops to just wait to ambush whoever stole it

digitalRoost

so wait, you're telling me that the theif just took it and your truck to a local apartment complex and left it?!!?! The cops don't believe that the theif lives there?

So, I'm confused. Why would a theif do that? Seems almost like he wanted for you to find it????

Should've not done anything but sit there and watch it, and wait for the thief to get in it.  Then, drag him/her out by their neck, and beat them like a redheaded step child  ;D  Then, call the cops and say your were chasing them and they must of tripped.

"I don't know how his nose broken officer.  That's not my shoe print on his face.  He must have tripped and fell face first into a pair of Nike's."

Hey first off- I am glad you got your bike back Anthony.  Thank you very much Ray Hymer!  And cornercRamping- why are you such a jerk?  The last thing an adult needs is a scolding 'lesson' from you on theft protection!  You are a true ass and I wish you  were banned again.  Anthony, check with admin at the MMI school and explain your situation.  They may not give you a address list, but may give you a list of people that list the apartment complex address on thier records.  The cops may help with this, but it is a touchy situation, get some higher ups at the school involved.  MMI is and has been a haven for dirty crooks for as long as I can remember (which is a real long time!).  Classmates will basically stalk those who show up with nice equipment, tools etc and steal them.  It is pretty horrible since most of the student population is broke and work hard to pay for the rent, school and the occaissonal toy.  Anthony and Ray, I would like to speak with both of you at the next race- great story!- Had to edit, in place of Anthony I wrote Nate the whole time!  What is up with that!

I wasn't trying to be an ass. I wasn't trying to teach anyone a "lesson" either. I was trying to inform for those that don't know about these things. The simplest things can help. Sorry, from now on I'll keep my mouth shut when I can help someone or bring knowledge to the table that can asist others in dealing with headaches.

and I wasn't banned.

Yay Ray!   :D

Glad the bike & truck were found.  Glad the bike was still in good shape & the truck wasn't too badly damaged.

Hey GoShow2002,

I hope you went and bought a lotto ticket right after this...

Congratulations on finding the bike. I have had 3 of them stolen when I lived in Florida and know the feeling too well.

Don't give up on your dreams! If an illiterate like K3 can write a book, imagine what you can do!

That is a good reason I won't move to Florida

Dude, that is the best story I have heard in a while.  I am so glad to see the victim win one for a change.  Luckily, knock on wood, I've never had a bike stolen.  In '94 my 4 best friends trailered their bikes to come watch me and my teammate on a race weekend (Moroso of course).  The trailer and all 4 bikes were stolen on Friday night and I will never forget how bad I felt, nice to see it turn out right for once... now, be sure to win at the race !
