Where can you buy those quick refuel dump cans used in things like endurance racing  ??? Anyone  ???

LP sells dri-breaks.  You can screw the can end to most fuel bottles.  The other end attaches in place of the gas cap.  Most guys with this setup hose clamp a line to the breather and duct tape the hose to the can with the opening at the bottom.  That way the hose is high when the can is upside-down and pouring.  I think there was an advertisement for the aluminum can with the flow lever in one of the CCS rulebooks from a year or two ago.  Hope this helps.
The frame was snapped, the #3 rod was dangling from a hole in the cases, and what was left had been consumed by fire.  I said, "Hey, we've got all night!"

Also, I bet you'll find what you want in the back of Roadracing World.

Thanks.  We have to devise something.  We're going to run a 6 hour endurance at Grattan in 2 weeks on the Mille.  There's only one problem.  We'll have to modify the stock gas tank, because the fuel opening on the Mille is tiny.  It's hard to refuel using even a regular VP gas can.  The hole is too small.  So, we're gonna modify the tank, and then buy one of those gas dump cans with a trigger so we can refuel quickly.  We already have a hook up on a bunch of fully assembled wheels, so we'll just throw slicks on them all.  Now we just have to figure out the fuel, and how to make the tire change quick.  Forget that whole quick change set up.  It's alot of money from what I understand, and it ain't worth it.  We firgured it out, and we stand a pretty good realistic chance at the podium if we don't crash out or have any failures.  Our lap times combined will put us in a 1:28's to 1:30's average for 6 hours.  :D  We just have to get everything set up for reliable decent pit stops.  Especially swapping out wheels. We'll have all the parts, just have to find the right people that can swap rims correctly and fairly quick.

Dan, how about just using a funnel for filling the gas?  This is what I saw other racers used when filling their tanks with the VP fuel in the regual VP fuel containers.  If you can get a gas container with a big air breather hole for the gas (this is what the VP fuel container is lacking and hence cause slow filling), it should dump gas down pretty quick (quicker than the funnel can allow the fule to go into the tank).

With the lap time you said you'll be averaging on the big V-Twin, I don't like quick fuel change will get you on the podium nor make any real difference in where your team will finish..............   :-/

Hopefully you and Ryan will have enough time to get used to your new Mille (practice time on the track) as you get it all preped and ready!   ;)

Forget I said anything...........just trying to offer a cheap solution and where your team may/should end up based on common sense...............   ;D

Good luck with the racing and have fun!   ;)  I won't be there to watch as I already make plan to go back to NY to visit my family that weekend.

That's what I always do Sunny  ;)

They sell them here http://www.behrents.com

About $200 for the dump can, $360 for the male dry brake and you'll have to look for a female dry brake for your bike. LAst I seen they were $400. So basically a grand for quick fill.

:o For that much, I"ll leave the track during the race and ride my butt over to the gas station 10 minutes away. Atleast then I can get a beer while fueling :P Guess we're gonna go with the home made version ;)

Camp, something like that would be the LAST thing I would "home-build". Imagine it fails and you get a nice 5 gal bath of race gas? Worst case it ignites.
