Anyone need a pit buddy for Saturday and Sunday? My wife cannot come down and it kind of sucks pitting alone.  I have all my shots.

Thanks dru2.  You have mail back.

You can pit near us (LCR). My wife will be around all weekend and can help out if needed. We usually pit accross from the main straight (on the right as you enter the paddock area). I will be arriving Friday evening.

Everyone is your buddy at the track man!  I'll be there hopefully for GTL Saturday and Sunday, pitting by turn 4...

Well, I didnt think I could but I ended up finding a way for the wife to come if I go home with her after my last race each day.  Since this is a family event for us that's what I'll do.

Thanks for the offers for everyone who gave them!  I'll try to look everyone up this weekend.

See you all at the track!

Chad, ya big silly - next time speak up sooner!  We've always got room for more. :D
CCS AM 815... or was that 158?

MadXX

Thanks Kim!

I ended up thinking the wife was coming and then finding out that she got the flu friday night.  At that point I just said heck with it and went.

I'll be sure to speak up a little earlier more if this happens again.   :)

There was a racer at BHF this weekend who was by himself, wrenching on his home-built 125cc Cagiva. I don't think he ever turned more than a lap all weekend. Seized it. Rebuilt it. And seized it again. He was working his tail off all weekend. But he always had a smile on his face and a positive attitude. It had been a long time since he had raced and he was just happy to be back.

I was pitted next to him and helped him out a couple of times, as did a few other guys. There were a few things he just couldn't do by himself, despite his determination. His right arm was totally paralyzed from a previous street accident. Yet there he was, setting up his pit, unloading his bike, working on it non-stop, etc. Not to mention suiting up and riding it.

Amazing and inspiring.

Now THAT sounds like my kind of guy.  I hope he's around more this year.
The frame was snapped, the #3 rod was dangling from a hole in the cases, and what was left had been consumed by fire.  I said, "Hey, we've got all night!"

Yea i saw him pull up.  He had all his stuff stashed in his car and was pulling the bike on a bumper mount that held the front wheel only.
