I just need to get this off my chest...

I know that there are always two sides to every story.....  but this is something that I just need to put out here and get off my conscience.  It has been eating on me for some time, and it doesn't even effect me personally!

I care deeply for many of you on this board, some I consider family, but one of friends has been taken advantage of by another.  Money, parts, and damage to a piece of equipment that you (you know who you are) borrowed have not chosen not to make right.   Now you're looking forward to the 2004 race season.  Be a man and take care of this before you show up at the track.

This is all the information that I will put out regarding the situation, so don't worry, I won't say who you are or what happened.  I ask that those who know of this do the same.

What I do ask is that you make it right or don't show up at the track, or you may be hearing this question shouted out across the paddock.  "Hey, did you....."

Try selling stuff to racers...and sell more of it.

I'm left waiting months for payments from trusted friends.  It happens.

I feel for you.

Hopefully, the person will recognize their responsibility, and see that it puts you into a bind that is not yours...but theirs.

If you need help motivating the person, don't hesitate to come to us for thoughts.

Dawn, that's a real bummer. Sorry to hear it.

There are more racers that are ready to screw you then there are that will make things right. Heck, allot of them will change the agreement and then say they made it right.
Since 1999 I have gotten ripped off, people have owed me money, and some guys have even borrowed parts and haven't said hey or ney when I am standing right in there pit, as a matter of fact they basically have turned it into a situation where I guess they figured I owe them and so forth it was all squared away.
I have been owed up to a full year by riders that had a #1 plate and had no entry fees for the season and strill didn't try to make good. If you think all guys are like Dave Rosno, you wrong, but they should be. Dave taught me something along time ago, be who you want to be known as. If you want to be the guy who borrows something and wrecks it, and doesn't pay for it or replace it be that person but take notice, racing is a small family. Everyone will know what person you are. I choose to be the guy who squares away my debts.

It doesn't have anything to do with racers specifically, people in general are often purely self serving.  Like Dave said

I'm active in the local BMW community and sold a doctor an engine.  He paid by check, well he's a doctor and a BMW owner so I accepted it...  bounced...  He eventually made good on it but was still a PITA.

I may have to add soon......still giving the benifit of the doubt tho...for a few more days.  You know who you are also, let's make this right.

I'm sorry this situation is out there again.  It seems as if we all get screwed over at some point in time but for me it happens weekly.  I first thought it was an area issue ( people in dc, MD, VA area) screw you over  for there on benafit.
But I was proved wrong by Bernnie. ( thank You)

I had tools walk, my good tools swaped for striped ones, my garage left a mess way too may times, fined $300 by my home owners assoc for loudness, my b-day shot to hell because someone else wanted to work on there bike. way more than that has happend but  all I need is a thank u and I'm sorry to make my day.

I still go out of my way to help people out. Thats just me!  But Dave, dawn, thorny & nocents we are the same.  We get screwed over and still continue to help others.

Thanks  Super Dave !..  I know you did not need to set up a race school and drive all the way out here soon  ;D to work with us on the track. You could have spent the time with your family. Thanks for making the trip in advance and i do understand and realize you made personal sacrafices to help me ( a stranger to you) out.  Thanks sorry my spelling sucks

Hey Smoke, your right, my situation may not be as bad as it sounds, but hasn't been looking up since I haven't been in contact with my guy.  Anyway, it's good that we all keep on helping each other out as much as we can, like has been mentioned were all family, just think that if once we got screwed in a deal and said forget it, I'm not helping ever again or trusting anyone else, I don't think anyone would be left trusting or helping anyone?   WE take care of our own and need to keep doing so.     ;)
