Good Ninja 250 turn out last week end. Congrats to James Lubrano for winning It. It was a battle until the end. Here are the top four. 1st James Lubrano, 2nd Miguel Chirino, 3rd Paul Vance, 4th Vaughn Ali

Glad to see a good turn out. How close was the racing ? How about the split between the experts and the amateurs? Did anyone take advantage of the new rules concerning performance upgrades and if so what was the effect? I'm just trying to get a feel for how the class might take shape.

I raced and had a blast. Thank you Miguel and others for leading the effort to get this class going. I know you guys want a spec-class event so I hope you don't mind me running once in a while on an old 350 Honda. Not many places to ride the old girl anymore. Let's get the grid numbers up, then worry about the rest.

My wife was in that race and had a blast. The race up front was really close and James ended up taking the win by a very slight margin. I am going to buy one for the next race and hope some more join in. Most guys seem to be running stock bikes with nothing done to them so they are all really close. Hopefully enough people show so they will split the Am and Ex classes instead of running them combined. I know the bikes are close but racing a spec class combining Am and Ex does not seem fair to the Am racers. They should start on the same wave but split them for positions so the Am race against Am. Just my thoughts...

The issue is with not enough participation the extra cost of plaques cut into the profit margin and ability to pay for track rental, corner workers and the insurance that they provide.

When Ultralight Superbike was combined ex and Am my son ended third against some other experts

Seriously, you think the plaques are going to put them in the red?

Correction, fourth goes to Jennifer Johnson.

Jason, I am impressed with the 350. I did not expect that at all. Sorry about your motor.

Guys, Henry mentioned that he would consider dividing if grid sizes permit. Remember that the 125 GP has always been combined, I had to claw my way out of AM. I wonder if the Daytona ROC will be split? I know that the 125 Gp was in the past.

Looking forward to Round 2 at Roebling.

Hey guys I just wanted to call your attention to on on going thread in the Rules and Regs section of this forum. As pointed out by Bruce, there are new rules which completely change the class from what was initially advertised in the 2011 CCS press release.

If you are one of the riders who is interested in seeing an even playing field and affordable racing class, please chime in and provide your feed back. I believe that the new rules will kill the class as they allow modifications and unrestrict certain motorcycles from participating such as GP bikes.

Does it out them in the red ? No. Does it cut into profit for when the money is really needed? Yes, at times. If you have ever owned your own business you will never want to just break even. You cut the things that just aren't making profit or low profit and make more doing less.

For me, I have decoded to sponsor the very limited Premier Vintage Series in Florida purchasing the regional trophy for whomever wins.

Miguel, You may be the representing voice of the mass, as long as you can get a big enough mass. Reminds me of when Formula 40 first was split between Formula forty and LW F40.

Mark, I completely agree.  I have and do own and run a business.  Cut the stuff that isn't making money.  Trim down so to speak.  There is plenty CCS can do to slim down.  All a business minded person has to do is walk through the pits and hit timing and scoring and you can probably pick out 5 or six things that would off set the 3 extra plaques.  Like I said, I'm all for this class, I hope it succeeds.  Even though I don't run in it.

Fair enough guys.  I've owned my own business for 7 years now, and I'm willing to put my money where my mouth is.  Go back to the 2011 rules for the Florida region only, if that's possible, and I'll pre-register for the last 9 events, even though I won't be able to make all of the rounds.  Check will go out tomorrow.  $495 surely pays for (9x3) 27 trophies, right?  $18 each?
Again, we're gridded on the back of two existing races, so additional time isn't an issue, unless you consider how slow we are getting around the track... :lmao:
Track rental and insurance based on amount of riders?  I don't know the first thing about it, so I'm asking a genuine question, not being a smart ass.
