Uber cool. However, I remember hearing a stock one fire up and it sounded like my mom's Camry. Kind of disappointing.

Hopefully this one is throaty with the performance mods. That sure is a sexy beast.

Yea... I too hope that mod list wakes that thing up.  Last one I drove (with the comptech supercharger) was to be honest, pretty boring.  great car and did everything great, but still boring.

throaty for sure alexa!

yeah I hear ya jason but you gotta feel this thing on a clover leaf!  The short gears keep it in VTEC and its plenty of punch for me.  Ive never been into all out muscle.  My last sports car was a 350z... this should be in the ballpark performance wise in a straight line, handling will be apples and F16's

They never claimed to be fast, but for a 19 year old car she sure does handle and look nice doing it!

I hope to have it all worked out and at the CCS races at Road America but for sure she'll be at the GP races at Topeka in July!

Gotta sell my TL and buy a new work car first.  It will be in my driveway by late june early july!

Grrrrrrrraaawwwwwwrrrrrrrrr. Sometimes it's not about muscle but finesse. ;)

How did you like the Z and how long did you have it? It's on our short list of used cars. Don't tell me the negatives like no rear seat room or what not. I'm more interested about daily drivabilty, suspension and steering feel. Fit and finish over time? Any common issues to be concerned about?

I bought it new in 03 had it for about 2 years until I got this racing bug.  Sold it and bought an SUV.

I loved it.  Its for sure a sports car so ride is a little rough but I had no problem spending 4-5 hours in it on a few road trips.  On a hot summer day you REALLY gotta try to get it to break loose mid corner, it has a pretty wide stance and the tires are way out on the corners so handling nice.  magazines complained about a mild under steer but I only noticed that once or twice... so mild is probably accurate imo.

I havent followed the development of the car since 03 but it did have a few factory issues.  there was a front end issue that had a call back.  too much toe in caused premature tire wear, nothing an alignment and new tires didnt correct (nissan covered it) some had REALLY suspect tranny's (and I dont mean suspicious looking chicks that used to be dudes) but as I recall mid production it was corrected, for sure in 04... I never had an issue.  clutch was a little soft but I wasnt hammering on it everyday... it was my daily driver.

Dont even think about driving it in the snow... I wasnt a fan of it in the rain

trunk has enough room for two sets of golf clubs (there are actually instruction ON the car that tell you HOW to get them in... I never would have figured it out on my own lol) plenty of room for groceries.

I kinda wish I still had it and early production one's are pretty agreeable on the price tag these days.

I had the touring model with nav and leather blah blah... the "track" model was over priced.  better to but a lower model and add the brembo's yourself.  used may be a different story.

the G35 had better finish inside with comparable everything else but the price difference didnt make sense to me at the time

hope that helps!

Cool. Thanks for the info.

You could solve the rain and snow issue with Blizzaks mounted on a spare set of rims, I'm sure.
