Doubt they are going to Sheriff Joe's "tent city". These clowns are going to a real prison.

I always wondered why they allow weight lifting equipment in prison, that sure seems stupid to me? I can understand the bleeding hearts out there claiming the criminals need exercise, but this is ridiculous. I can see lower weight on fixed equipment and basic aerobic exercise equipment, but I would imagine heavy weight lifting just encourages fighting, intimidation, and more danger to the guards in prison.  :ahhh:

Yup.

Feed them corn and potato products with a lot of no exercise in a library.

Boy, doesnt that stink, it's like an M&M eating another M&M, it's just not natural for one of our own to be such a thieving liar.  And what a wonderful justice system we have, they got him nailed for 50 counts, and he'll serve only 18mos of those 5 years by allowing him to plead down to a single lesser charge, a slap on the wrist.  Must make the 39 guys who had their bikes stripped to pieces feel real good.  I know when I'm at the track it feels like the ol days you hear stories about, where you can leave your stuff unlocked, wallet sitting out in the open, and the only thing you have to worry about is did you unplug the tire warmers?  and where we gonna meet for dinner.

unfortunately, there will probably be more of these types, considering the economic stress.  For the most part racers take care of each other.  Think of the sheer numbers of racers out there, then think about how many of these guys have committed stuff like this.  I think that, that's still pretty good odds you wont have your stuff stolen.

Back to the point of this guy Hymer, I read other forums where he openly debates people on the subject.  He seems to be in denial of the majority of the accusations.  His daughter is pretty hot, but that doesn't make him innocent.

barney

I raced out in phoenix 1998-2002 him and is son are ass holes.

Economic stress?  Come on, you know that's bull shit.  Either you know that taking something that isn't yours is morally wrong for many reasons, or you ignore it for the excellent point that Barney made so well.

So you are saying that people have never acted any differently when they are broke or struggling.  People justify things to themselves.  Look at what happens in disaster areas, New Orleans, Haiti, Sumatra.  I understand that those are extreme examples, but the idea is the same.  Everyone would kill, steal, or lie given the right circumstances.  An eye for an eye makes the whole world blind. (thanx C.O.D. Modern Warfare 2)

That reminds me of when Katrina went through the gulf.  The news reports black people looting, and "stealing".  In the same broadcast they showed white people "doing what they can do to survive".  I always thought that was funny.

Funny, huh...

Everyone would kill given the right circumstances?  Seems pretty open ended doesn't it?  I'll let you decide how to rephrase your part for some idea that resembles something worth discussing.

Not all prisons allow weight lifting equipment. More and more are removing them.

I can't buy the 'economic stress' thing either, I read somewhere they estimated this guy was responsible for a MILLION DOLLARS worth of stolen property!
