Hello all,

Thought I'd sign up and introduce myself to the board.  My name is Chris Kuhn, and I am with M.C.R.A. out of St. Louis, and I am excited to be part of the CCS GP region.

I started out with CCS around 94/95 out in Phoenix with the SW division. Got off the track for a few years, then back into it with the MCRA gang a few seasons ago. 2009 will be my first CCS racing in a long, long time!

Anyways, I hope to meet a bunch of the MW/GP guys and gals. I'll be on a Duc 996 (#730) Stop by and introduce yourself at the track!

Cheers,
Ski

When was the last time you saw me at the track?  You need to keep up with current events...

Trust me, I have heard every addage that you could think of.  But, I didn't help my situation by getting paid to go to homecoming in high-school.  I didn't pay for a thing and she bought me a silver flask that I have to this day.  So are you gonna run GTO?  I havent been to gateway, other than to dragrace, the banking looks cool.  Has nascar cup, or busch series ever run there?

There's very, very little of the banking at Gateway that falls within the bike configuration at Gateway. (A teeny bit coming onto the front straight - hardly worth mentioning because of the way it's set up.)

Gateway has been on The Busch/Nationwide schedule for a number of years now as well as the Craftsman Trucks.   IRL made a couple of runs a few years back but dropped out.  ARCA has also made a couple of  appearances.

I remember when I went to race my mustang, everybody parked in the grass and on the road coarse.  I never road raced at that point and still thought that was wrong.  I was hoping that the banking was used there so I could get a taste of Daytona without driving all the way there.  I am looking forward to going also because St. Louis is IMO a fun town at night.  Whats camping at the track like, is it on a parking lot?

You really can't compare the two.  You'll only be on the oval track portion of Gateway in some short spots.  You won't be riding on the "banked" curves.  And the banking at Gateway is pretty light.  I'd almost bet that two Gateway ovals would fit easily inside Daytona's tri-oval.

I think camping at Gateway is generally there inside the oval in the infield there among the covered and open areas yet.
