Has anyone done a good comparison between Michelin PRC's and the Dunlop D209's? There is about a $100 difference between the two compounds and I am seriously thinking of witching to Dunlops. I just want to get a good idea of what other CCS racers think of the Dunlop's especially for the Florida region. Thanks!

I have riden both, and pay the extra money for the Michelins. Probably a rider mistake, but the D209's put me on my ass(actually my head, but my wife says there isn't a discernable difference) the second time out on them.

I am talking about the American D209's. I didn't know there were different versions. I will buy these straight from the Florida region distributor. Does anyone else have any thoughts on these Dunlops.

jgalt187, is there a reason why you don't like them?

Hey Mr.Drucker, how've you been??You'd be the guy to ask....the new 209's vs the Britsh 209's.I was running the 190/60 rear last year and liked it,and was comfortable with the front's,what's the major difference with the new vs. old and how do you feel the new 190'55's will stack up against the 60's and will I  have to adjust my ride height at all??Thank's in advance.I was running the Med.compound.

Jiggs!
In order for Drucker to give you a comprehensive evaluation he needs to know all the facts; you forgot to tell him you are a recent FS graduate.
May the speed be with you!
It was good seeing you and the guys at corse.

Hey bro!!Good seeing you guy's too....the only thing is Ron Hix was right,It'll take a while to adopt the material,so same ole' me for a while.Really interesting though.Great corse.

racerhall

the uk dunlops are harder to get, more expensive, and well worth it. They have better traction and last longer, all sponsored riders use the uk tires by choice

racerhall

like i said they are difficult to get unless your a sponsored rider, they are around, you would have to talk to your rep and order then ahead of time

Yes, because I busted my ass the second time using them. lol  To me it seemed that the rear didn't give any warning before it went. I could have just been ham fisting it that day, who knows. My buddy ran them without any issues. If you feel comfortable with them, then use them.

I run at the front in expert as racerhall does.  THe uk dunlop 209gp has ridiculous grip, it lasts and its super predictable.  LOVE DUNLOPS!!!  I run in the florida region a bit....
