I'm making my wife an armoire for christmas and I have to say I think its turning out pretty cool.

dovetail drawers

it will be a dark stained exterior with a bare wood finished interior to show off all the intricate joint work.  It will be all a very deep brown when the door/drawers are closed and then very light when they are open

I would have used a lot more duct tape and RTV.  I love my wife, also.  I would have thrown in some hose clamps.

I was a plant manager with Kimball several years ago and learned a bit about wood working. That looks really really good. you've done a great job from what i can see in the pics. be sure to post more pics when it's done.

Guy has some skills.  Look like a nice job.  Did you use a Dado joint on the sides of the cabinets or biscuits to hold the drawer shelves?  Kinda hard to tell from the photo.  And did you use a Oak veneered MDF for your cabinet body?  We are building alot of very similar stuff on our project right now.  Looks great.
