Would anyone happen to have any video or pics of the crash in turn2 durring HWSS on sunday.  I am just trying to get a better feel for what happened.  You tend to forget things when you are flying through the air.  My father inlaw has some video from turn 1 up to just before turn 2 but something more would be helpful.  Or any eye witness accounts.

I think Gron 4 was in 3 when I came around with the crash truck. Whether or not they got pics, I cant say. Maybe contact Dave Fanning ( check PM for email addy ) and see what the cornerworker wrote down on the incedent report. I dont know if he saw the whole cause or just the crash.

Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming "WOOOHOOO! What a freaken ride"

I spoke with him already.  I think we have a little different view on what happened that is why I am looking for an outside opinion.  Its hard to remember what exactly happened.  All I know is there is a lot of rubber on the left side of my bodywork.

I was in 3 but didn't see the actual incident just a flurry of things flipping and tumbling through the grass, I managed to get a couple of bad photos.

Rob who was the corner worker in T2.  I'd really like to hear their account.

i can tell you that from the  assessment of spuds bike, that there was no swapped paint on the front/right side of the bike and other than the frame slider being ripped out, there isnt much damage on the front/right side, there is damage from it landing on the top right side when the bike flipped. im guessing the rubber your seeing is from his rear tire.

That would explain the wierd wear pattern on my rear tire.

I spoke with superspud on the phone this morning.  Had a very good conversation with him.  I think we both came to the agreement that we didnt see each other.  Since he was behind me it is way harder for me to see him than him to see me.  Since we are showing pictures I guess I will throw some up as well.

Here are the pix of the rubber on the bike.  I have rubber going from the swingarm all the way to the front fender.  I did not start crashing untill I was in the grass and away from spud.

I think spud and I have both come to the determination that it was just a racing incident but its hard to believe that all that rubber came from his rear tire when he has a big ass muffler in the way.  No worrys.  Done for the year and have to heal up for next year.  Its racing and this sort of stuff happens.  It would be nice to get an account of what happened from the T2 corner worker.

Bikes can do weird things while tumbling. When I crashed after main gate at BHF  in 99 the rear tire hit me right in the ass and left a black streak. Never felt it. Thought the bike was in front of me when I was sliding.

Ed was workign turn 2. If he's on he goes by eviled98 on the board.
