Well, I Think I did the stupidist thing I've ever done Friday morning at BHF.  I figured I would go out on put in a couple of laps to make sure my pads were beded in good then I was going to come in and throw on a new set of rubber then really start to pratice.  Well I made it as far as the bus-stop and prompetly ended my season with a highside brfore I even got to T4, because my brain and right wrist were having a disagreement about what I sould be doing.... got ejected, landed on my left shoulder and presto. broked collar bone   :banghead: :banghead:
and to make matters worse, my bike came out with NO major damage....

At least I have these to show for my stupidity.

Next time.    :preachon:   Tire warmers no matter what.

oh no, I'm sorry to hear that Jason. I was looking for ya on Saturday but....... Wasn't this the first weekend your wife made it out to see ya also?..hm...My weekend wasn't all that great either....Hope you're collar bone gets better.

Jason748

Yea, sorry I missed you Chris.
My wife actually took it pretty good, the only thing she said is "that's it for the year, you will let it heal fully before you race again".

Sorry to hear about the misfortune.  You've given me lots of good information via the boards.  I guess this is just on more thing I should learn early on.  Hopefully we'll get to meet sometime.  I'm still hoping to find some money for race glass and then I'd like to get out for a race before the season ends.  I still have to get the rear of the 600 RR raised up some how.  I can't afford a shock or a rebuild right now.  So I'm just going to have to find another way for now.  I really have problems transitioning the bike from right to lift.  Like just before the bus stop.  Take your time and heal up right.  Maybe I'll be bringing  up the rear next season.  Take care.

well, sounds like she knows what she's talking about.  What are you doing about work? Sorry for the bad luck man.I guess it happens to the best of us. ...Are you two still going to be attending the wegman weekend??

Jeff

Jason you totally SUCK!!   :kicknuts:  Oh man is that a bad deal.  But I almost had one as good as you.  I had a 4' 2 wheel slide on the WARM-UP lap of a race yesterday...  In T2, the whole shit just went!  I don't know that I've ever had a slide that bad and saved it...  It was crazy...  Still have no clue what it was.  Think there was some crap on the track, but I don't know...

Greg.  I don't know that you'll ever find a way to adjust ride height on the 600rr without a new shock.  It's just not possible as far as we've seen, analyzed and tried.  A shock kit from Ed Kwaterski at www.tracksideengineering.com is pretty cheap and will get you the ride height you need.

Work won't be too big a deal, I'm make do.  Right now I'm still planning on going to the wegman weekend, just not racing.

:kicknuts:  ...way to go! But I warned you that I registered here and that I'd show up with pics...  :lmao:

Hi All... I'm Jason's "little" brother (2 years younger... probably a solid 20lbs "bigger"). I've gone with Jason to a couple of track days & races (mostly at MAM... still trying to get him to come up to Brainered though), so this is the 2nd time I've seen him go down. Glad that he's OK, but now an easier target for my brotherly ridicule.

This time around, after helping him out of the pits (and wondering why his tire warmers were still in the bag) - I was grabbing my camera gear & talking to Bobbie (his wife) about her being a bit nervous - as it was her first time at the track with him.  That's when we both noticed that he hadn't come around again... then they made the "track closed" announcement and we found out why. We zipped over to the corner to find him leaning against the tire wall by the corner stand.  The ambulence was there almost immediately - and he knew that it was broken right away.

So without any further ramblings, some of my pics:

The Crashed CBR itself (looks pretty good overall)

The "crip" tending to his wounded bike

Max, his Son & future assistant

And messin' with "Dad" a bit!

...At least he'll have lots of practice with fixing stuff by the time he rides!

I feel your pain.  My X-ray is not as fancy as yours but you don't need to be a radiologist to see the busted stuff.

Ouch, that looks pretty broken!

You'll get real good at jumping when people even get close to patting you on the back!
