Glad to hear yours is better...

May I ask why the plate?  Were the bones still moving around and could you tell that it wasn't fusing or did you find out by xray?

I'm not asking out of morbiid curiosity.  Mine was busted and displaced two weeks ago.  The doc said he could go either way but to give it two or three weeks to see if the bones fuse, otherwise he'd have to plate and pin it.  It feels pretty good but that's kind of relative isn't it.

I had another X-ray done three weeks after I broke it because I was having a ton of pain in my shoulder and (I thought) could still feel the bones moving.  The new x-ray showed the they had started to fuse, but not very well, and the outer bone had rotated slightly causing the pain in my shoulder.  The Doc told me I didn't have to have surgury, but I would have more problems later in life if I didn't get it fixed.  The other reason was my deformed shoulder, about 1" up, 1" forward and a 1/2" in, was freaking my wife out a little bit :lmao:

If you're not having any issues (I know exactly what you mean, it's totally relative  :thumb:) and the pain is getting less avoid surgury if possible.

Thanks, that's what I was told too.  Mine seems to be a lot more stable in the last few days and I was told it should be stable in 10-14 days so I'm still on schedule.  I'll know more in another week or so.  Good luck with your healing.
