AHHHHHHHHH, Rozno is back.  Now we can have all our questions answered.  :D

Jeff, yes it has been 2 years. Didnt really think about it. Maybe you will see the Baker leathers at RA, just to have some fun. Mcplay land, Not. I actully work out more now than I did when I was racing. Its crazy how much time you have when you are not racing.  ;D

No way!  That'd be cool...  Would be good to see you back out again.

Yeah, but we're still gonna call you fat.  It's just what we do.

QuoteI would run Supersport or Superstock, but my bike doesn't qualify anymore...

Do I hear a Cheater bike?

Quote(how hard are they through tech?)

In the Supersport Class last year I got a red card(Do not pass go, do not collect $200) @ tech for having a Vortex Gas Cap...I had to go back to my trailer and put the stock cap assy on or otherwise they would not let me on the track..I also remember a couple years back - Purk was trying to get through tech with his 02'R6 and he didn't have those plastic frame in-lays mounted in the frame - they gave him a hard time....Now I know that in SS the bikes are supposed to look showroom stock - but I have no Idea with FX as I haven't run it before....

QuoteSo the concern now is that if I stand no chance in hell at qualifying, I guess it makes no sense to drop the $$$$

I disagree - It is a big eye opener to see what the competition is like at that level - And who knows - you may just suprise yourself.....And on top of that won't you be pissed you didn't try????

"MMMM - Fork Oil For Breakfast"

61 or 61 X - Which will it be??

Jeff

Wow...  I didn't realize they were THAT strict...  There's no way I'd pass...  No OEM wiring harness, no OEM gas cap, no OEM throttle, ignition switch, etc etc...

FX won't be a problem.

Pissed?  Disappointed in myself would be more the case...  I think I'm going to give it a go.  Worst case, I pay a lot to have some really cool track time and watch the races from _ANYWHERE_ I choose... :)

Tech can be different every time, depends on which inspector you get.

Some guys get so anal you can't even use certain exhaust systems because they don't sponsor the series.

Other guys get through with milled rotors, aftermarket master cylinders, etc.

A bud of mine failed tech for 600ss because he didn't have the front sprocket covered required for his bike.

Its all a crap shoot.

QuoteThingy,
You could not race your way out of a McPlay land.
You don't have to remind me.  Jeez.   :)

What's the total $$$ outlay in fees to the AMA for the classes run, paddock fee, and all that? Before you buy tires, etc.....

Super Dave

Pre entry is 175 per class.  250 post entry.  You've got the crew info.  Then there's the charges that the track might hit you with...camping, etc.  Varies track to track.

You still up for it, Todd?
Super Dave

license $275
Entry $200 (pre-entry fee per the current form on the ama website)
Camping $75 (I think)
Guest passes $180?  Guessing $90 each
