Whats up with the schedule for CMP? http://www.ccsracing.us/venues/2006/cmp.html

LP Track Day on Saturday morning (BTW: $75 for CCS licensed riders if you want to run it ) - and a riders clinic?  GT class practice starting @ 2:30 for 45 min (for 3 groups) GT races start at 3:15...and to top it off - all 16 sprint races on Sunday - starting after lunch!  :o

Sounds like an underhanded way of jacking up the price... pretty sad.  I can't remember not having a Saturday and Sunday for your race entries.

Looks like I need to go find a headlight.

Here's another Q?

If I've already pre entered via snail mail, how do I register for the track day?  I'm wondering if doing it via the online system will fudge up my entire entry?

CMP, like Roebling, has a history of low turnout (read in that it lost big money) and we waited to see if this season would change. It hasn't. (We have twice the pre-entires for Summit in May -and VIR in June- as CMP in April at this time.)

Thus we needed to give ourselves the opporunity to at least break even, so we needed to make the change to the Gingerman type of schedule. We now have a hope between street riders and racers who would enter extra practice that we can keep from losing the $10,000 like the last time we ran at CMP.

We're just trying to stay in business, not screw anybody. (As far as the 16 races, at three races per hour, our average, we still finish by 5:00pm.)

And adding practice will not mess with your class entries at all.

Thanks Y'all.

Makes sense now, thanks Kevin.  I just hope there's enough entries to make contingency minimums.

I wonder why the low turnout?

I've never been there, but all the online video makes it look like an amazing layout... is there some outlying reason people stay away (for example: you know not to go bow hunting in the GA mountains with 3 of your buddies, one of whom is fat).

Damn, I didn't know there was a 75 dollar practice fee for Sat.  I thought we'd get the usual 2 or 3 practice sessions in the morning on both days.  :(  Does anyone know if there's a trackday Fr?
