I'm not sure how it's a political statement.

On any given Sunday, some bikes will run better than others.  And, in spite of that, some crappy bikes will still win because of good riders, or maybe good days.

I'm pulling out the BS meter because I'm hearing some baggin' on Nate Kern's accomplishment.  The bike is completely within the rules.  

Are you gonna have the balls to actually tell N8 what you think if what they accomplished?

Ed's bike is within the rules too, but it does have an advatange over the other SV's out there.  None of us would take anything away from any win that Ed has accomplished but we realise that it is the bike and the rider together that will accomplish the win.  Hence Nate road well and....

at a glance, I would say that the bike probably didn't hurt

Dave i agree with you. The BMW is a LW bike and Nate is a very talented rider. Hey its not like the BMW can't be beat! Wasn't last year at the ROC Ed Key cleaned house on his SV. With the BMW's weight and HP i'm sure it tops out around some Buells and SV Superbikes. I know my SV is putting out 85HP at I think 320 lbs.

Well I'm assuming this is addressed to me.  Dave, I can't for the life of me understand how you could come to that interpretation.  It was not in the slightest way what I had intended.

There's no 'baggin on Nate Kern's accomplishment' whatsoever.  It would be like me saying that a 636R "wouldn't hurt" in a middleweight race (despite it being a kawasaki..).

Why the hell would I bag on someone I don't know?
