Jeff, you need to get out from under that rock.  Nate Kern is fast.  Put him on anyrthing, and he'd be smokin'.

BMW - Builds Motorcycles Weird.  Heavy.  Very, very heavy.  If someone wanted a Gold Wing class, racing a BMW is pretty close to it.

Okay, so I stand corrected.  The bike was a complete hindrance to Nate in winning.  My god what a disadvantage, to be on a 1085cc engine generating 98bhp at 7,500 rpm and 70 lb ft of torque at 5,750 rpm against a bunch of SV650's.

Yes, the thing touches 500# ready to race, but it's got the motor to push it.

I didn't say that Nate wasn't fast.  I specifically said:

Nate Kern had his bike under my canopy on pit road for the ASRA races, someone paid like $8,000 to ship it from overseas just in time for the race.. I bet there were a few Buel guys pissed cause Buel pays $$$ for win.s

You're figuring 98HP and 500#?

Does ground clearance count?  I've seen Nate ride the BMW's.  

Enter the class an protest it.  Or talk to Kevin Elliott.

No class is absolutely equal.

The BMW that Nate rode is certainly not a middleweight bike.  If it isn't, then it's a lightweight bike.  It's not a GP bike for sure.
