Hey, i was wondering who are the really good racers on CCS (or formula usa and wera and all those sorts). and if you get really good in CCS, is there a chance at AMA?

There are people who go 'through' CCS into the AMA and do quite well.  Jason DiSalvo was racing alongside us just a couple years ago to name one.  Obviously Tez Stewart, Dan Ortega, Jesse Janish, Tristan somethingoranother from CA, Blake Young, etc etc etc.  They all raced or still race within CCS and do fairly well in the AMA ranks (some better than others obviously).

Being 'good' in CCS doesn't mean you'll do well in the AMA.  Doing well in the AMA takes an incredible amount of talent, commitment, time, money and help.  The money and help are the most difficult pieces to attain.

So, who are the good people?  Dunno... Look at who wins CCS races and also runs AMA stuff.  There aren't too many top AMA guys who come back to CCS or other club levels to cherry pick unless it's to further their AMA cause (i.e., running a new track, etc).

In the SE, Trey Yonce is definitely one of the best, if not the best.  Last year he was good, this year he's just plain winning almost every race he enters.  Personally, I think he's another Geoff May...but that's just my opinion.  :)

Last weekend, the best racers at the Blackhawk CCS race were Shawn Conrad and Larry Denning.  Both those guys are balls fast.

My Fav: Ed Key.  :D

Then there's Jesse, and Blake, both who should do well as they are young and talented.

Do or do not, there is no "try".

I think Ed Key is the fastest guy on a SV in the Midwest.

Pretty fast fellow he is! Ran a 1:13 at Blackhawk last year and the fastest lap time on a bike at that track is a 1:09.

I'd say he's one of the faster guys
