I just took a look at the schedule and Middleweight Superport looks like it is sponsored by Racers Edge?  Anyone know what the implications of this are?  Any extra incentive to run this race now?

Super Dave

Incentive to race in Middleweight Supersport?

I think it was put one time:

"600cc production based motorcycle road racing is the world's most competitive sport."

There always contingencies available in the class.  By your signature, you've got an '04 R6...go make some money.  What Racer's Edge is putting out,  I don't know.  It will just sweeten the pot.  You ready to race?

Maybe it's to bring awareness to the new 05 Michelin tires. I got a set two weeks ago, and they rock. The wierd thing is the rear takes......22PSI! I've gotten over 125 laps on them so far and they're still sticking.

Super Dave

Yeah, the new stuff rocks.  We were riding on some early stuff at the end of 2003.  And at Daytona.  And even the Street stuff is just ridiculously awesome on the race track.

I wonder what that would be on my Motard, were I run around 22 rear already with Pirellis!

After talking to Ledesma, he said the tires are the best he has ridden on yet.  He actually got more grip with the mondo horse 1000 on the new DOT than with last years slick- sick!

Yeah....On your track.....

There's something spooky about a racetrack that doesn't wearout tires.  :o

What kind of MOJO you runnin' on that racetrack...Hmmmm??

Lol.......tell that to everyone who tore up two sets last March due to cold tearing!!

Honestly though, for some reason this track does pretty good against wear. Clockwise though the right side gets eaten from the exit of the carousel. Big bikes combined with poor throttle control (or having fun!) can eat a rear tire in around 15 laps. For some reason I can go through two rears to a front, and I ride the front pretty hard. I usually replace the front at the same time as a rear anyway though, cause it ain't worth it when the front lets go, especially on a slow corner. Fast corners let you catch it, slow corners give no warning and no chance for forgiveness.

Yeah I was one of those people complaining, morning practice and one 7 lap race on my "vintage" cbr 900 and tires were shot
