Is there a schedule of events for the ccs races at daytona...kinda like tech, practice times ?

thanks

Eric Kelcher

Races will be Thurs thru Sun with practice in the mornings.

Basic jest based on past races tells me it will be like this.

Wed Team Hammer practice and school (there is a extra charge for this)
Thur morning early afternoon CCS practice(included in race fees)
Thur Afternoon Team Challenge
Fri GT races with Sportsman races mixed in (ULightSB, Supertwins, F40,)
Sat FUSA qualifying, CCS races (not all but most)
Sun Rest of CCS races then FUSA races in afternoon.

Tue Registration for T.O.P. and then opens for Pre-entry then post entry (exact times I am unsure but something 3, 4, 5)
Gates open at ~7am tech around 7:30

All days racers must be out of paddock by 1 hour after last checker or 6pm

whats the garage situation going to be? more open air garages than past? still free first come first serve? what about rentals

Eric Kelcher

Spring the enclosed garages were rented while open air were first requested(with pre entry) first served in the past.
What the garage situation will be like with the new infield buildings/garages I don't know the Daytona mailer sould be out in Jan with that info.

Thanks, Eric, but you missed a piece.  Usually for the spring Daytona we are not allowed use of the garages for our competitors.  You will need to contact the track to rent a garage, which by rumor I hear costs around $700 (although you get to keep it through the AMA races).  However, now that the entire garage area has been torn down and rebuilt, they may change their minds and let us use the garages in the spring.

I have had open air garages assigned in the last 3 years. I think they are rebuilding the open air garages, just wanted to see if you guys know if they will be available to us. I guess will look into renting one if I get to keep it for both weekends.

How does one go about pre-registering for all the crap  ;D that is going that week? Team Hammer day? Is there going to be a mailer for Daytona for us n00bs to pre-register with? I got the OK from the wife about Daytona so I want to reserve as quickly as possible before she changes her mind. BTW if you are going, the hotels are quickly filling up with all our squid friends.

One more question

we have a trailer that has living quarters, will we be able to stay in it in the paddock? if not, will we be able to park it in the infield an stay in it there??

can't stay in the paddock.  i think you can stay in the infield

Eric Kelcher

No one allowed inside the speedway overnight (paddock, pits, infield).  If you have a trailer with living quarters then you would need to take it to one of the RV parks, there is one by the airport (NASCAR turn 3/4 area).
