Lithium Motorsports' Roadracing Team Roster Complete for 2005

Lithium Motorsports is proud to announce that Greg "Stumpy" Steltenpohl of Marquette, Michigan will join forces with the Lithium Motorsports Road Racing Team in 2005.  Stumpy, who raced under the banner of Team Stumpy Racing in 2004, finished last season number one overall in the CCS Midwest and Great Plains regions while competing only on his Honda 600rr.  2004 was Stumpy's second year road racing.  

"I'm excited to form one team with Lithium Motorsports," says Stumpy.
"I've done things on my own for two years and am looking forward to new perspective and opportunities.  2004 was an interesting season in that I ended up competing for the #1 plate and having to make sure I was consistent in my races while hammering out my first expert year.  In 2005, I'm looking forward to going faster and having the resources to go one-hundred percent at all times."

"Teaming up with Team Stumpy was a natural progression of both of our programs," states Team Principal Rob Oliva.  "Stumpy personifies our goals as a company and a team. He is a very professional, well liked, and obviously talented rider.  His overall number-one standing in the Midwest and Great Plains regions of CCS as a rider mirror our professional accomplishments as a company within the region."

Lithium Motorsports operates out of a 7,000 square foot retail facility in Le Mars, Iowa and has positioned themselves as the largest trackside vendor in the Midwest.  Lithium Motorsports' signing of Stumpy rounds out the Lithium Motorsports program of fielding the most professional organization in the Midwest and Great Plains regions of the CCS as well as the CRA roadracing series.

Stumpy will join Ryan Sohn, Jason Thorsen, and Mark Schnettler on Honda CBR 600RR's for the 2005 season.  Oliva will also see duty in the Unlimited ranks aboard the Lithium Motorsports CBR 1000RR superstock machine. "My company prides itself on providing the very best parts and services possible to every one of our customers," adds Oliva.  "Our road racing team is a practical example to our customers of the kind of results that can be achieved with our company."

Lithium Motorsports' season will kick off April 22nd through 24th at Wisconsin's Road America in CCS/FUSA national action after pre-season testing at Spring Mountain Motorsports Park in Pahrump, NV and Mid America Motorplex in Pacific Junction, IA.

Thanks for all the well wishes everyone. Yes, we did send it into RRW also, but they haven't updated their news for two days. We will post updates as they occur to keep everyone informed of our programs progress and accomplishments both here and on RRW for the season.
