Well, for you teams out there running endurace races
with CCS, is it possible to do some races with only 2 people? I mean the 2 riders and no other support. Has anyone done this and how has it worked? Their may be a few times my brother and me cannot drag an extra person along, but would still like to race.

Absolutely!  Besides, CCS doesn't really run endurance (4 hour or 6 hour).  Try to set up your hot pit next to some friends or make friends with your hot pit neighbor.  For fueling stops you will need three helpers, one on the extinguisher, one to dump the fuel, and one to hold the bike.  We run endurance primarily with CMRA and WERA and we've never had any difficulty enlisting help.  If you're shy like me, endurance is good because it will force you to meet others!

I assume you are meaning you plan on running the Team Challenge races at FUSA/CCS weekends
They are usually 200km(120miles)  in distance, which means, on a track like Summit Point (2.1miles) your doing 67 laps. You only need 2 riders and to refuel on the exchange. Tire changes aren't needed, just run a bit harder compound. My team Lone Wolf Cycles will be running Team Challenge events as well as WERA Endurance Series. Good luck, hope to see you out at the races.  ;D

Ya I meant team challenge, sorry. I just did not know if just the 2 of us showed up, we could make pit stops without to much trouble. I know you have to have someone on the fire extinguisher during refueling, so I guess the rider could get off the bike and hold it while the other fueled? Mabey??

Not that many racers total are entered in the team challenge.  That leaves tons of guys hanging around doing nothing.  You'll have NO PROBLEM finding guys and gals willing to help in the pits.  Bring extra beer to pay them!
The frame was snapped, the #3 rod was dangling from a hole in the cases, and what was left had been consumed by fire.  I said, "Hey, we've got all night!"

Super Dave

We won three Team Challenge championships in two years with me a rider, and just someone else there holding a bike or something.

It can be done.

All you have to do is complete the laps....and have fun...
