I don't know this guy and can't vouch for him, but I like his idea and sense of humor so i thought I'd pass it along...

There is a group of like minded motorcyclists that have come up with a plan
to send a motorcycle race care package  to our troops in Iraq.  The idea is
to send over a pair of Honda XR50s, flags, and an assortment of other race
oriented equipment (cones, banners, gear, chemicals, etc.)

We already have the backing of a couple of local bussinesses.  This is not
some tax deductable non-profit.  This is just some hair brained scheme
dreampt up by a bunch of hooligan racers to bring a ton of smiles to some of
our Heros.  So, before anyone else says it-  yes, it is a dumb idea.  Don't
you love it?

Anyone interested in help out through donations of materials or cash, should
contact me.  I already have two bikes lined up to go.  I figured we could
get a web site set up to post photos of the silliness for all to enjoy.

Don't know Matt Buck?  Really?  He's CCS #645, races in Pac and SW at least.  He's a great guy.

Forgive me if you were just being funny.  :)

Need to hook this guy up with Phil Bresnahan, CCS worker, soldier, sometimes racer, assigned to Iraq.  Currently about to be on leave here in Chicago for two weeks.
The frame was snapped, the #3 rod was dangling from a hole in the cases, and what was left had been consumed by fire.  I said, "Hey, we've got all night!"

Great Idea! Let me know how I can help on the sticker side of it! I'd be glad to help out.

Hey guys,

Yup- it's real.. We already have the bikes set aside from a local dealer.  They are in the crate and ready to go.  Now it is just a matter of collecting the $$$ and other donated things to send over.  Motion Pro is putting together a tool package.  I have a couple of my sponsors kicking in a few $$ and a banner.  Anyone else?

A pay pal site is in the works.

Nice to know.  I don't get out much.  :)
Matt, I hope you'll let us know when the Paypal site is up.  Sounds like a fun idea.

Matt, I'll see what I can do.  BTW, just saw in RRW CCS ad that you got the #1 in SW (or was it Pac) and #2 in the other, whichever, nice work man!  Barely beat catching by like 45 points!

Cool!  Someone keep us appraised when a plan is in motion that we can do something with.  Sounds like the bikes are there, etc...

What's next?  Money to ship?

Thanks!  Yeah, the points are a bit out of whack.  I ended up pulling about 650 points more than what RR world shows.  It was a cool season.  #1 SW #2 P.  I also picked off something like 14 class championships...  I lost track.  ;)
