What a fun track, was way cool to have the ROC at Homestead. Many were upset not having it at Daytona but oh well.
Had a friggin BALL on my buddy Dave Webster's R1 in the team challenge. Had never been on a "big" bike and LOVED it. 1st race on friday was the mid wt GTU and the R6 had been acting up in practice early that day, but after a rain shower i found myself aboard my jurasic period F4. The trusty F4, never let me down. Had an absolute BALL watchin Jeff wood and Himmelsback pull away then Marco Martinez battled with him on DOT tires. Setteled for 4th place. bummer on Sat. however as the 03r6 would start sputtering 1/2 way through the warm up lap. DNF both races sat, then gave it a go in the dry on Sunday again aboard the underpowered F4 in teh mId wt grand prix. Steadily moved back and back being passed by newer bikes but STILL had a friggin BALL. With time in the shop and on a dyno turns out it was a cam shaft sensor goofing up the FI. The F4 is officially retired now as i have an 04r6 as a stablemate to the 03r6... See many of ya at HOmestead in DEC!!
GOod luck to everyone in the upcomming 05 season. ;)

Thanks to ChadWolfe and Kinetic motorsports, JenningsGP,  VP fuels and Michelin Tires. Your all in deep doo-doo as the new michelin Pilot Power tires are INSANE..

Hey Greg; I don't know if you remeber me, but you were in every race that I registered; I don't know if you were in other races, but I was hopping to try to followed you in your R6 missile in some of the races.
I'm sorry about your troubles, but I was sure that you satisfy your needs on racing since many canceled races.
I had one of those F4, and besides that they were not that fast, but those bikes were indestructibles.
I'm the guy that need the VP fuel on friday and you give it to me. (#414)  I didn't know that I have to drive all the  way to the hotel where the truck was and my 1st race was just a few minutes away.  Thanks!  :D
Your GTU race was great, too bad you lost your 3rd on the last laps.  You deserve that 3rd.

I really enjoy racing in Homestead too, and this is my first ROC and it was a great experience.

RACING!!!
Because football, baseball, bowling & golf only require ONE BALL

Very nice meeting you , and i was happy to get you a can of my fuel rather than make you head all the way back to the VP truck. I think you beat me on sunday in the Mid wt grnd prix, perhaps finishing just ahead of me.. I was flogging the F4 for all it was worth and had a blast but it's no 03R6.. The 04R6 i have is even MORE of a missle ;) Now, my backup bike will kick ass as good as the "A" bike..
The GTU race was one of my most memorable races. In the rain, Jeff Wood out front, Himmelsback getting by.. then a 20min battle with Marco M. As the track dried the slower F4 on rains had no chance but it was FUN AS HECK ;D There simply is no way to describe hydroplaning into T1 at Homestead side by side with another rider, and seeing/feeling both of you skimming across the 3" +- puddle that was at teh transition area from banking to infield. I had a blast. See you soon.
