Why doesnt CCS start a new class fo 95 an older bikes. Go by superbike rules run what ya brung an call it Thunderbike or somthing like that

Zac

GP instead of superbike rules so my '94 TZ250 is legal.  Call it "Modern Vintage".

We actually run this class with ASMA, the CBR900s do well, along with an ex-AMA '94 GSXR-750 superbike.

Quotewhy no Ducatis... ???

Because AMA Pro Thunder proved Ducati's dominace over Buell.

I don't see another class being added without 1 or more being removed. Currently most CCS events have very full schedules that often times push to fit in all the races before the cut-off times required by many local ordinances (the compressed 1 day schedules are especially vulnerable to running late).

There are definately people out there that would like to see a reduction in the number of classes as it is, but I also know that there are riders who currently race in the classes that would probably be cut that don't want to lose them or move to/add other classes. Trying to have several classes to compete in for each level of bike requires a rather full schedule as it is. The 'one off' classes that have riders that only compete in that class and no others would probably not prove very beneficial overall. If riders are not able to ride in several classes without some degree of competitiveness they probably wouldn't last too long or follow the whole season, therefore not making it a very profitable addition for CCS.
