I am planning on starting to race in the GTU class this up comming season (2005) and I was wondering what exacly happens on a race day do they hava a practice or qualifying before the race? if so how long? and if you have any other advice it would be greatly aprriciated

Go to the CCS web sight //www.ccsracing.com and look at "schedule" and look at the upcoming schedule for South Haven Michigan this comming weekend... which is at Gingerman Raceway. That will give you a breakdown on the days events for the weekend. I believe you only have to do a qualifying session if you race in UL GP. Good luck! Mark

Only qualifying is for Expert ULGP.

Generally its 2 (sometimes 3) sessions of 15-20 min practice sessions, then lunch then the races. Depending on area, some tracks have a friday full practice session.
