Ok, I've been a loyal Honda rider my entire life, never ridden or raced anything else, but my patience is wearing thin.  I decided to start racing again this year and really rushed my bike prep so that I could return for the Roebling event at the end of July because it was an OEM Honda event.  Did rider school (long layoff), got bumped to expert, started dead last, terrible start... but managed to finish fifth.  I filed for the Honda money the next week, which was about 8 weeks ago, and no Honda $.  No problem, these things happen, so I called... five times!  Not only can I not get ahold of anyone, no one will return my calls >:(   Any help from the other Honda riders out there (all six of you) would be appreciated.  Any experience with the "red riders" program"

I didn't know that Honda pay contingency, well, at least not in WERA.   :-/

I tried to get the contingency information from http://www.formulausa.com/contingency, but apparently the site is down for maintenance I think...........  It'll be great it Honda pays contingency here in CCS, but I don't understand why they don't do that with WERA.............   :-/

Actually, Honda does offer the contingency in WERA.  It's just for the endurance series though.

Card, looking at the ccs website, I see that your event weekend was indeed a Honda payout event.  This can be found under the last heading, 'OEM Dates'.  However I could not find the classes that it posts money in and you did not indicate that anyway.  Hopefully (and it sounds like you did) you filled out and mailed inthe Honda form from the website.  Also, you did not indicate, but did you fill out the CCS riders contingency form, also found on the ccs site, and check the Honda box?  If so, did you get it verified with Tech as required?  Did yourecieve any other contingency from that weekend?  If so, that means that the home office (CCS) did recieve and process your paperwork and should indicate that they forwrded results to Honda, in which case you need to contact Honda. If you are unsure if the results were forwarded, you must contact the CCS home office to inquire.  Also, before you call anyone, make sure you have covered all bases- proper froms filled out, given to proper people and bought off by CCS tech at the event.  Good luck and I hope this sheds some light on the situation. You also have to be a registered member with HRCA prior to the race event.  If you follow all of the rules and get the results they send you a Visa credit/debit card type thing - your contingency winnings are credited to that card and you can use it anywhere Visa is accepted.  It's not cold hard cash, but it actually works pretty slick because everytime you submit another contingency claim they just credit your account.  They send you a monthly statement showing your balance.  Once you're set up in their system it is really easy to work with.

Cstem, they pay out in supersport and superbike.  I finished fifth in supersport.  On a side note, thanks to CCS for erroniously meatballing me in the superbike race while I ran in second, battling for the lead... cost me at least a grand.  Anyway, getting back to your points : I did mail out the Honda form, check on the CCS form, as well as getting it checked in tech (with the VIN). I have received certs from Vortex and Dunlop for the weekend.  However, regarding 10bomb's post, I became a HRCA member AFTER the event (about 3 days).  I didn't do it before because I was told that under no circumstance would I be able to go expert my first weekend back... wrong.  If that is the reason than I am going to be more than PO'd.  Not to mention, that still doesn't explain why someone can't return a call to tell me that.
I mean, I throw their overweight bike around for a decent finish and I get TKO'd?  The other two cbr 600rr's finished dead last, and next to dead last...  the 600rr is like your best friends overweight girlfriend, she has a great personality.  ;D
PS - I figured that I'd be able to find an email address for someone at red riders rewards, and that they'd be able to explain it... not happening.  I challenge anyone to find an email address for ANYONE, much less someone in charge.

I bet that the HRC membership was the problem :-/. That sucks if that is the case. I'm a loyal Honda owner also, with not alot of Hondas out there they should take care of those they have. They are over weight pigs though, Big boned I guess, or just plain thick. ;D They look pretty good from behind though, Oh wait I've never seen one from behind ;)

I'm going to call everyone I can today until I get an answer.  I'll let you all know what happens. Jeff, good luck this weekend, and don't forget, they pay in superbike also.  This gives you two shots at the $.  What is cool is that you don't have to worry about ALL the really fast guys showing up to get the $, because not too many ride Hondas.  When I raced in the early 90's (on an F2) it really sucked because EVERYBODY would show up.  I remember one weekend Aaron Yates, Brian Gibbs, David Estok and a few others coming out to whoop a*s on everyone.  Aaron was there every week anyway, but you get the idea.  He was always very chilled out, I don't know where the recent anger streak came from.
