I feel ya.  I would really like to see those full bred 2fities do there thang, especially if they are on the chopping block after 2006.

It's too bad.  Would have been cool for Rich Oliver to come out of retirement and enter as a wild card.  He probably could have done pretty well on a US track against the Euro boys.

It would have definitely been a sight.  

You never now, even if it did come, he could probably get a wild card ride because the AMA is not a direct competitor in any of the classes, unlike the SBK classes.  Look at the BMW Boxer Cup.  I'm sure local riders race those events, which have nothing to do with the domestic series.  Some riders could even be drawn from the USGPRU since they run FIM rules for both the 125 and 250 classes.  Moreover, it has not been stated explicitly that the AMA will share the weekend.

On another note, have you read that the WSBK championship may come to the US during their regular date, although not at the same venue.  I think that one of the two series will suffer, and I won't be watch no damn SBKs when I can listen to those sweet prototypes make me deaf.
