Hi All!
I think I just purchased a salvaged 95 f3 on e-bay (bidding is almost closed). It has a slightly bent sub-frame. What is the best way/place to go and get it straightened out? (Computrack???) How much should I expect to pay?
I bought the bike for $500, in hopes to have a bike to start racing next year. I haven't even been to school yet, so yes...I'm NEW!!!  I think/hope it was a good deal!

P.S.  The seller said," Possibly tweaked stays" any clue as to what to expect?

Thanks in advance for your help!

Strip all the stuff off of the tailsection, strap the bike down (to your trailer, maybe) stick a long bar through the subframe and tweak it straight!

Hopefully it'll be that easy.

The 'tweaked stays' are probably the fairing brackets in the front.  Maybe you can bend those back as well.

Good luck and hope to see you on the track this next year!

Thanks Andy!!

This is definitely GREAT news! However, in the worst case scenario where I can't fix it myself...any idea how much I'm looking at?
Can't wait to be part of the action next year, see ya then!!!

IF the subframe just is "slightly" tveaked  dot worry about it.
I have been riding mine all year with a slightly bent subframe.  my seat sits straight but the tail section sitts a little off but it just cosmetic!

Newjack,

Where are you located? I can recommend a very good frame shop in Southern California if it's geographically convenient for you.

Regardless of where you are, you should take your frame, forks, triple clamps, swingarm, rotors and wheels to a reputable frame shop and have them checked. The $100-500 you spend on the inspection and/or repair is cheap insurance, especially since you will be trusting your life to them on the racetrack.

The sub-frame on a F3 is very soft and can be bent back with little effort.
