Supposed to be a bad M.F.   Trying to figure it out though.  Could it be streetable?   ???  If it's as bad as the mags say in reviews, then why buy a Ferrari Enzo?  You could buy this for the price of the Enzo's drivers mirror.  :-/

Is this the future of club racing concerning cars?  I saw an $80K Toyota Supra at Gingerman before, so why not just get this instead? ???

Anyone else realize that the price of the Noble is WITHOUT the engine, transmission or transaxle.  Its just a rolling chasis with body and interior

Yeah, but why  ???  I knew that when I posted the thread.  If you do some searching, you'll see that if you build the drivetrain to their spec., it'll end up costing you another $20K, and that's a 350 HP V-6.  This is what I'm trying to figure out.  If it's streetable, then could the motor be lacking because it wouldn't pass DOT, or if it's a closed course vehicle anyways, who cares, cause DOT wouldn't apply to a true race only vehilce.

Alright, I spoke with Noble's distributor in the U.S. just for S.. and giggles.
Get this..

The reason the car doesn't come with a drive train, is to get thru customs.  Otherwise, if it had a motor, ect., it would have to pass all DOT standards and so on.  The car will pass all standards, providing you order the airbag option.  You can order it with a motor, ect. right from Noble, but then the cost goes to $225K because of the amount of money it took to get it to DOT standards.  Instead of paying that much, you can get it here, put your own motor in it, ect., and spend $80K complete by the time you are done, and then title and register it as a "specialty low production" vehicle, which is exempt from DOT.  The funny part is, 1G racing already has it set up, where you order the car, the way you want it, and also has ARE racing in Houston TX, who builds the Ford race motors for the NASCRAP teams, install it for you.  This is how it goes, depending on options:

The chasiss complete, minus engine, and transmission: $56-$68K based on options.

The motor: ARE Racing, complete drop in, with Dyno specs, blueprinted to Nobles specs: $8K

The drive train: $9K from 1G

Then, $3300.00 for installation, with warranty.
The neat part is, that Noble will build the car to your specs.  You can provide the paint code, leather colors, ect.  The only options other than custom paint and trim are air conditioning, and a sun roof.

If you figure it out, the whole car will cost you, from start to finish around $80K.
They are sending me a packet, not that I could get one, but I wanna see what it's all about, because it is pretty sweet.

The Formula BMW's are much cooler and they come with a youth driver development program.  Check out BMW's US web site for more information.

Hey Sunny,

Look at the website for this thing.  What does a crate motor cost from Ford on this?  They said that you get a Ford Crate motor, and add 2 Garrett turbo's to it.  What can you find out on the crate motor cost?

I could find out for you, but it's unlikely you'll get into that, so why bother?   ::)  2 wheels costs much less and is more fun!   ;D  If you want to race car, just buy a decent street legal everyday car (like Mazda 6, SVT Focus, etc) and do autocross with me!   ;)

BTW, I hope you signed up for the STT LED Grattan event on July 5th as we planned.  Make sure you bring cash!!!!!!!!!   ;D
