Does anyone know if this race is happening on June 27/27?  In the back of roadracing world it says Fasttrax/Great Lakes region is racing there but on the CCS website it doesn't show any racing for that weekend?  TIA

Do or do not, there is no "try".

That's strange ???

Aside from Alexa's point about the dates appearing on the Fastraxx site.  It's listed at the CCS site on the page that has the full schedule http://www.formulausa.com/forms/2004%20Schedule%20V2.pdf.  But it is missing if you click on the menu on the left titled "schedule/tickets."

Oh well, it appears there is racing this w/e.

Steve,

Are you coming this way?  It seems as thought my team is going to be racing there too.  Great more familiar faces!

I will be there Sean.  I am trying to make sense of the races this weekend.  Sprints on Sunday what is on Sat.? Just one endurance race at 5:30 PM.  If so who needs a teammate for the endurance race?

shakenbake

Endurance on Sat. (I think starts at 3 or 4)  Sprints on Sunday.

The Advanced street rider school runs on Sat morning prior to the endurance Race.

If you have any other Questions I'll be at the track late Friday night.  Look for the Black trailer with Holeshot Motorsports on the side, or just look for the loud group of people in the camping area by a fire, that'll be us.

The CBR will not be there this weekend, I am still looking for a motor since the fire at Grattan Last race.

See ya there

Been reading the rules and class structure, but it doesn't match what I heard from the Grattan weekend.  What classes can an R6 compete in during a Fastrtrax weekend?

What is the track like?  I heard T1 was repaved, and the surface is generally smooth.  I saw a video on the Team Promotion web site , but it wasn't shot at any real speed, so it was hard to determine effective width of the track.  It looks narrow.  How does it compare to Blackhawk Farms?

This will tell you all the class break downs and how they relate to the CCS classes.

About 80% of the track is repaved, over all good shape.  I've never ran Blackhawk, track with is close to Putnam if not wider.

Only bad spot is turn 13 really, alot of tar patches in the hole turn.  Tight inside line is ok as well as the outside line.

Front straight thru T2 is repaved, All of the carosel up to about half of the back straight repaved.  Overall Fast smooth surface.

But then again I thought Grattan was smooth as a babies bottom, and I read someone on here say they thought Grattan was rough and broken up.

BTW, if you plan to run Endurance on Sat. you'll have to change your #, The Localriders.com HWT team has been running the #29 for years.

Come out, it's a real good time.

Thanks for the information.  I read that doc, but I heard somethings to the contrary.  I'll go by the rules on this one.

R6 classes?

Superbike 600 (race #2, 12 laps)
Superbike Unlimited (race # 5, 12 laps)
GT1 (race # 10, 12 laps)

If over 40, add Formula 40 (race# 4, 10 laps)

Bob Weber,  working tech & grids.

Some classes you have to be carefull about, Both GT3 & lite twins are for very small bikes. Lite twins running it are 250 ninjas, GS450's & 500's, RD350's & 400's (No rz's) must be a twin, no small singles.

GT3 is all those twins, then add small thumpers, honda ascot's to 540cc, sr500's, cb400f's,( no 125gp's bikes, no srx600's)

Any questions ask myself or Bob Stanley,

Welcome to all :)

What about a SV 650 what classes can it run in if it is a stock bike with just a pipe?  Also CCS does not require a steering damper will it be a problem if I don't have on since Fasttrax is running in conjunction with CCS.  Thanks for all the help guys!

shakenbake

I am sure Fasttrax will require a Damper, I can't believe CCS doesn't require it.
