I was hoping somebody could help me out with how they lay out there resume or Bio for there sponsors.

I have a few potential sponsors and would like to write up a proffessional looking resume.

If this was already talked about, I'm sorry, I can't read through every thread.

Thanks

Nick

What do you want to do with your resume?  Sell yourself, your team, your travel plans?  Do you want money, products, or both?  I am learning that you can create a bio that lists your record of success and your experience, but don't forget how you plan to sell what your team can do for them.

Most of all be brief and consise, and don't lie.

I just plan to sell myself I guess. I'm still pretty new into this. But I have a couple potential companies that I'm pretty sure would pay tire bills if I advertise there company on my machine.

I'm basically looking for a layout of how people configure there resume so I can fill my information in.

Please don't be offended, but have someone look over it before you submit it to prospective sponsors.  You've got a few spelling errors in your posts.  I tend to have an eye for that sort of thing and would be happy to help you if you get something together.   :)

Super Dave

Really depents on what you have to sell...

You can find my resume at the bottom portion of this page...

I might have a few extra things on there that you don't have.

Make it look good...have fun with it.

Also,

You talk about selling yourself. That is true. However, from the business owners veiw, sell what you will do for them, NOT what they will do for you.

We do easy things that help build support and have had a good amount of luck this year.

#1 Look Professional!!!. Never arrive with junk looking equipment!!!!!! Would you want that image for your company? Fibeglass and a little paint is cheap and anyone can make it look good at 100mph at 50 feet.

We also do displays of the bikes at their business and have sponsor appricication days at the track once per year at least. This is great because they can come out and see what you are doing and how. Also they can meet and network their businesses with other sponsors and fans.

Good luck and feel free to email me if you have any other questions. mike@mcracing.org
