Hey guys,

Looking for some opinions on Summit Point.  Cool track, not so cool?  Easy or difficult to learn?  Bumpy rough pavement, fresh pavement, somewhere in-between?  How are the facilities?  Neat and new, or busted up and disgusting?

Anybody got any decent on-board video?

pretty easy to learn

bumpy getting on/off concrete patches, and watch for bumps on the inside of turn10 !!

concrete patches do stick real good though

gotta watch for wildlife :P

edge of the track not so good

facilities pretty terrible, but not as bad as Talladega

easy to learn.. 10 turns.. reasonably fast, and fun track. there are concrete patches in a number of turns, and lots of tar strips in the carousel... the concrete has plenty of grip so no worries, and you can carve a line through the carousel and avoid most of the tar strips.. i dont use the showers down there when i go.. i just rough it... lol

I love Summit.  First timers that I talk to up there seem to get up to speed pretty quick.  The new showers up by the scoring tower are pretty decent.  The old ones in the pits aren't suitable for washing old parts.

Jim, it's got a feel kind of like Blackhawk with a long straight, elevation change, and more paving in the pit area.  Bring a set of flip flops when you take a shower at the track though.

You can start calling it Scummit after you go there...has always been fun.

ok' ill spill the beans. this is just what I heard last night  "  The concrete barriers (SP) in the new track are only temporary.  They will not be there once the track is completed.  Once the track is done..  The main track will be shut down for repaving, and the pit area modification.  The main road going in to the track now will go a way becasue the main track and the new track will become one.

Craig is going to get me a map of the new layout.
