Just tried the SBK-3 pads this last BHF weekend.  I must say I am impressed.  I've been a longtime fan of EBC-HH-KIT pads, and enjoyed the progressive bite they offered (more grip with more heat).  The SBK-3 is a totally linear pad (grip doesn't increase/decrease w/heat), and the bite is as good or better than the HH-KIT.

If you haven't tried them, you might consider it!

Rick Breuer from Learning Curves is selling them on the track for $40-50 for a front set (2 cards).

I'm definitely hooked on them...

It took a while to get used to the Carbone's, but I also like them better than the EBC. The Carbone's seem to lack the initial bite of the EBC kit pads, but they have similar power and much better feel.

Uhhh I think just about ANY pad on the market is going to be better than EBCs.  The only people I've met that LIKED the EBCs were people who have never run anything else.

CL's *are* supposed to be really good pads.  I personally have not tried them, though I have heard good feedback on them.

You should also try out a set of Performance Friction pads.  Best pads I've ever run.

Try the Vesra Super RJL's, they don't need any break in, just put them in and go fast then slow down with confidence!!!

I used the Carbone Lorraines as well and really liked them.  However, I picked myself up a set of Vesrah SRJL's....OMG!  :o  I've found the pad I'm going to keep on using.  PLUS, they pay contingency.  ;)

We also sell the Carbone Lorraine pads trackside in the midwest. They are a great pad with linear feel and exceptional pad life. Also we are doing CRA contingency with them this year as CRA is a smaller club and we can make sure we have everything worked out there before doing contingency in CCS hopefully next year. Feel free to give us a call if you have any questions about the pads or if we can help you get some. Thanks!

My ex-boyfriend Matt Wait told me that braking is over rated. But my new Bich Robbie Jensen gave me
a set of those corbon watchamathingys and they worked pretty good. I beat the crap out of them just to beat something... they stopped fine. But then again, who needs brakes anyways eh Thorny ;D ;D
Sorry PJ, had to do it!!!
love you man,
mini you.

I really like the C43 pads but they started fading on my at VIR with about half the pad worn.  I really like them but will be trying others...Galfers next then the verasha <sp?>
