QuoteThat little guy kept running back and forth across the track in front of traffic....well, actually I shouldn't say little- it was a pretty large groundhog from what Chris was saying..and he is the one that got to clean up that debris.

Yeah, poor guy.  :-/ He came out the first time and stopped about 2 feet short of the track on rider's left about 20 yards upstream from T9 hot tub, saw a group of bikes come whizzin past and high-tailed it back to the woods. Guess he gathered his thoughts and wanted to spectate 'cause the next thing I know, he's sitting on top of a tire stack on his hind legs enjoying the race. I think he thought he saw Duhamel.  ;D  I climbed outta the tub and off he went back to the woods. I watched another lap or two and started my way back to the car...got no more than 10 steps and heard T8 calling control with debris. I hustled back to the birm only to see Mr. Groundhog flat on his back with all 4's in the air just off the raceline.

Not only did we have some "liquid" cleanup....the poor thing crapped itself!  :o I guess I probably would too if I got hit by a bike doing a buck-twenty... :-[

CCS normally runs on the main circuit but is scheduled to run on the new Shenandoah Circuit later this season.....IF it's completed.

I believe record lap is in the 13's.....anyone know exactly?

I must say, that was the most crash filled weekend @ Summit that I have ever seen. I have been comming here for 5 years and have never seen so many people crash in one weekend.
That being said. I would like to thank all the corner workers. I was involved with the crash on the front straight, and you guys got to me so fast. So big thanks to all of you.
If you care to know, I have 2 chipped teeth 2 broken teeth that were just repaired today and a cracked chin and 5 stiches on my chin as well.
So thanks to all of you. I hope to return real soon :D

were you the one that got hit or the one that hit the other guy, i started on the 6th row and almost clipped him/or you.  it was a harsh incident as i was praying that the guy wouldn't get hit but as we got to t3 we saw the red flag and automatically knew the unavoidable had happened...
heal up bro and hope you feel better.

Yeah man,
I was the hit ee.  I was on row 8. I got a great start and was on my way to the front.( I'd like to think that that I was anyway).  From row 8, I started to my right beacuse I passed the guy on row 7 and someone, may be you, just missed him and when you went around him it left me no where to go. It was like driving down the highway and someone infront of you swerves to miss something in the road and you hit it.  I had just hit 2nd gear and I 'm not even sure I let off. The people on the towner said it looked like I tried to miss but I can't remember. His body hit me in the face and and I stayed on the bike as he flipped over me and I road in to the grass and low sided. The rim was way bent, the tire was flat and the forks where pushed back to the radiator. The right clip on  is bent and the grip is wrolled up on to the housing. If I had just let go I could have saved that.
I guess I'll be okay though. I'm still getting my china(teeth) fixed, and my jaw is cracked where my chinny chin chin is. I have not even taken the bike off the trailer yet.

I started 7A (to the outside of the track). As usual I started to move toward the inside. Donny Kelly is to the right of me, and was being pushed to the inside as I moved across the track. I remember seeing the 2 stroke in front of me puffing up smoke, and I realized he was trying to get it going by running it. I moved to the left as I almost hit him, and donny went to the right (I believe). You must have been behind me and donny, and as we split around him you had no idea what was coming.

I hope you heal fast and come back soon. I just took my broken bike off the trailer and started taking it apart today. Hope yours gets fixed soon too.

all considering, it could have been alot worse. Glad you can be here typing about this
