smoke, i was around all weekend, sorry we missed each other.

had my issues but ran faster than last year and took a 3rd, 2-5ths, a 6th and 7th, so not too bad a weekend.

our crew had it's ups and downs, on the good note,
*the weather turned out to be great!
*my 1st 3rd after my 1 and only good start.
*josh lilburn's top 10 finishes.
*hector's win and 2nd place finish on sat.
*troy (nesba cr) coming from the back and getting a 4th and 5th i believe in am.
*rob smith (another nesba cr) getting a top 10 as well.

on the negatives
*my shitty starts continue even after getting advice from almost everyone.lol
*geoff reed (nesba cr) running in around 6-7th in the gto race but crashing out in turn 4 ending his weekend.
*hector crashing out 1st and 3rd and then possibly braking his wrist (i'll check with him later).

so hopefully everyone will be ready for the fusa weekend to give it another run! :)

congrads out to ryan patterson, donny kelley, jason moss and the osr racing crew (aj and will) for excellent weekends as well.

nice job peanut

my weekend is lousy again. Went slow on sat, figured out how to go faster on sunday, moved way up in the times during first pratice, and got ran off in T4 during the second practice, trashing my bike, and ending my weekend. I entered 3 races and I feel was on point to achieve my usual laptimes. Made a lot of changes to the bike Sat night, and all is positive until the same stupid thing happens in T4 again.

Nice job to everyone who did well. I saw hector at the end of day while I was walking around with a non-operative shoulder, and it sucks to see him like that. My difficulties continue, and he hasn't seen a real positive weekend for a while either.

I probably won't be racing again soon if I don't figure out how to ride like I used to. That and how not to get my bike destroyed for other people's mistakes.

Hey
I did not want to mention your name in my first post cause I wanted to talk to u first but on saterday I was in T5 and I was watching u come in and u had the oppertunity to pass but u did not. I wondered why.  It does seem like u are holding back Why? It seems like after the T4 thing last year your riding style has changed.

That was geoff? I did not know who he was.  I saw the bike hit the wall and go up as it was on its way down I was darting across the track to get him.  At that point I saw him sliding to the wall. His bike was done.  Hows he doing?

r6_philly

I hit the wall twice in T4 last year. And I just again narrowly missed the wall, but still ended up on my head yesterday. I love racing and would like to be back riding like I used to, but so far this year it is just not there.

But then this could be a good thing too. I nursed my new bike for 2 weekends and end up running 3-4 seconds off pace. The best I did on Sat was 22's. Even you from track side can tell I am not riding the same way. riding scared. Now that the bike has been "broken-in" maybe I can go back to riding the same way.

I do know exactly what you are talking about. I came up on guys and could pass them in 4, 5, 6, 7 but I waited til 8 to do so.

I felt like I should even have come to race, because I wasn't racing, just riding around. Still not slow slow, but no where near where I should be (with my competitors like hector, peanut, donny and patterson)

I think my pride hurt more than my shoulder, arm, neck and head add together

he's ok, a little banged up but no major issues.  the bike took a beating but he'll be back, he was running well in friday practice and on sat. morning as well.

if i hit the wall i don't think that i would have been able to come back as quick as you have, fwiw.  don't under estimate some crashes affect on you.  i'm still slow out of turn 1 getting on the gas after highsiding there 2 seasons ago, and your get off was 10 times worse.

the season is still very young.

Nut

Glad he's ok. Coming to TPM Day on may 10th?

Dafan: its going to take one thing for u to run up front.  "The will to do so."

r6_philly

actually it is the will to stop being scared. yes I admit I am racing scared.

so now that I have ended up on my head (or on my face) and still able to work on the bike the day after, I think I got some of that scare out of my system.

Peanut, I came back to riding maybe 5 weeks after I was injured, but I still am not back "racing". I remember so many guys I don't see at the track anymore because of injures. I did come back, but I am not nearly 60% back mentally. I am not going to challenge anyone because I can't even chanllenge myself.

I did go faster in practice on Sun before I got forced off. Kept up with Ribiero and Rinaldi for a few laps, surprised myself too.

I was driving home with a lot of pain, and thinking about how I lost that switch that turns you on to "race mode". So I need to find that switch or not come to races. I had it briefly before I went off. I was on a mission to go fast in practice (And you all know I hate morning practices).

i'll be back  8)

smoke

I'm the same way. I need to will my self up front.  But thats why I will be there on the 10th to get some laps in.

r6_philly

so will I, if I can get myself and my bike together by then. My teammates are signed up, and I think I will just come and ride.
