QuoteI'm fairly certain you can't run any F3 parts on the F2.  The gray area is the forks from the 94 F2.  I believe they were used on the 95 & 96 F3.  Don't try upgrading your wheels...I'll protest you in a heart beat.

Hey, Steve.

I read the rule book again, and I don't see the issues you're bringing up.

As long as you have the stock frame with VIN from an F2 with the F2 cases for the engine, you're fine for Thunderbike.  Supersport won't allow wheel or fork changes.

You could put on Mat Mladin's factory Showa forks if you wanted with his works swingarm and you'd be within the rules.

Hey Dave,
Good call, I went and got my rule book....I was under the impression that you could have neither ram air nor floating discs.
Turns out that the "thou shalt not use F3 parts" is in my CRA rule book......As long as the frame &  motor are F2, you're in like Flynn.
(Who's Flynn?)
But, one (repeated) word of caution:
Any modifications/upgrades/questions/changes need to be addressed by Mr. Elliot.  Two times I've finished a race, only to be yanked into tech & told I was disqualified for having a 1993 frame.  Each time I run over to my toolbox & grab my printed correspondence from KE, then dash back to tech to (politely) tell them to kiss my a**.
Bring on the F2's!   Let's fill those t-bike grids!

In the FWIW department...an F2 won 2003 FUSA T-bikes at Daytona ROC last October (pilot was Mike Barnes, I believe - could be wrong there - but definitely an F2).

Wait, did someone lay claim to those?  :o Fools!  ;) Don't put 'em on your bike, sell 'em on eBay and finance your season. (yeah, right...in your dreams...) ;) :D ;D

Do or do not, there is no "try".

Barnes did.  He won convincingly.  He was fast on them during that time, so this was like being at home.  Since he pounded the field so readily, it was in the best interest of the class to handicap them more.

Still would be a great bike in my estimation.
